Well if take a look at the figure below, there has to be a relation between Pan width and section width,

Now in your case, tire will be little pinched on pan width and bit ballooned in section width, but if you think putting Chinese rims is remedy for this ailment, then suggestion would to remain with stock rims (atleast they are steel with predictable characteristics).

With tires this wide, dont the rear tyres touch the body when car is full and front tyres when you fully turn the steering wheel ?

I am actually thinking of buying a wagonR for my brother, but I the stock rim/tyre size makes it look unbelievably ugly (no offense to anyone here ) ... However, on wider tyres and fancy alloys it looks quite decent. SO just interested to know what is the max size before the tyres start touching body ...

A long time ago i installed Nexen 185/60 R13s on my beloved santro. That did not end well. At all.

Wider tires dont touch the body they just edge outside the body, although large tire do touch, like Wagon R rim size is 13, if we put 14" rim we have to lower the tire profile so that overall tire size will remain in the limits, for r14 in WagonR 165/60/r14 or 165/55/r14 will fit well

btw it is available in india in 165/65 R14 setting & looks fabulous
In my personal opinion ride will become significantly harsher as sidewall is reduced by more than 10% in this setting

another Q, can we replace the stock audio system with LCD dec for video viewing etc ...

Stock rims can handle 175, but cant utilize its full width, stock rim width is just less than 5" i think.

For lcd, I have searched on google and found nothing since it is present in india and indonesia so i thought i can find something on internet, i think no one tried it yet.

Fuel Average:

Fill up from Shell Pansarki Rawalpindi,
Travel mostly in city, Raja bazar,Murree Road and Barakoo Murree.

Again fill up to full and on auto stop it fills 28 liters

Results:

488.30 km / 28 liters = 17.42 km/l in city,

Tiers:

Yokohama A drive 175/70/R13 with tier pessure 30 psi in all fpur ,

Engine Oil:

Shell blue pack HX-7 , Original Suzuki Oil and Air filters.

Awesome mileage, i am now getting 16+ with very limited ac due to winters, with no special consideration, earlier with more than 50% ac i was getting 15+ every time. There is no doubt that Wagon R is fuel efficient car!

just came back from suzuki dealer near my house ...
I want VXL with the goodies kit but without the stupid integrated sound system .. I want the one in VXR which has standard slots and
can be easily modified. Dealer said i cant have the vxr fitting in vxl ..
Oh well.

Btw really impressed by the space inside, especially leg room for the back seat passengers. Its so much more comfortable than the
swift.
Also, i dont understand why they dont use a 60/40 split for the folding back seat .. Anyway.
Might buy in first week of january.

You are right about the backseat seating space, plus it has flatter floor at the back, which is comfortable for middle seat passenger. The other thing which is very simple, but i really like is the opening of doors till 90 degrees, In cultus, alto, doors hardly open 60 degree angle, that makez it very difficult for old people and luggage to get in and out.

In dash player is good overall but not for those who wants LCD. Other thing wrong with in-dash player is the Clock, it has good display area but time does not persistent when car is switched off, this must be something to do with electrical stuff that people at Pak suzuki got wrong, they should figure it out by now and get it set for all customers.

Pakwheelers few days back I experienced something I was not expecting. I parked my wagon r in the garage, next morning at 10:00am I start the car it refuses to start. Battery lights were perfect, all electronics were working.

I tried 4-5 time but I didn't , so I was in a hurry I take swift which was parked outside garage.

At noon 2:00pm I start my wagon r it started in a single self. ..

What is this.... Can someone help me.

I have notice one thing that self take long to start. In morning is it normal....

I own the VXL Version and want to install LCD screen. I also thought it impossible to install LCD before I spotted out one VXL in Hyderabad with an LCD screen installed in place of the audio system but there was no one seated in the car at that moment from whom I could get more informatiom about it. So, in nutshell, LCD can be installed in place of the audio system, provided you get it done without harming your car. Cheers.

hmm... something has started malfunctioning, my car still starts on half self, 8k on odo, just let the Engine check light to go off and fuel pump to get the petrol, then start the car

Yes my car takes a long self too when engine is cold but sometimes not every day something is wrong somewhere

same thing happened with my mamo's 2011 corolla couple of months ago ..
the "self-start" mechanism needed servicing ..i think carbon accumulates or something
a good battery wala also offer these kinds of services ..
