On a serious note we need to create awareness in people regarding there second biggest asset and pakwheels is the best place for sharing ideas and making movie/documentary is a best way to create awareness and make some good earnings as well.

we can expose local manufacturers, politicians and investers who are involved in auto industry scandals. we can also highlight those roadside mechanics and 3s authorised dealers who legally steal there customers money.

I think its time to sit together and discuss ideas.
we should organize a get together/iftar party for members of Pakwheels to discuss further.

i was thinking maybe we can all share our resources and souorces and make the ultimate local car movie can call it pakwheels. we can ask shoib mansoor to produce it lol

it will be about the follow points

1 cars in general running in pakistan
2 feul and prices challenge
3 local modification craze
4 add in a dream of a young hero who is going to make a change
5 every car model will have its own role

this is what i thought so far. so many intelligent and wise people on this website im sure it wont be a big challenge at all.

Jokes aside, the movie could be made. But it should be a biography on HB/ libra and how he ended up with PW and where it went from there.

Apart from Jokes & fun, I think we should seriously evaluate the brilliant idea as mentioned by many others quoted above. It is time to expand the horizon of Pakwheels

We should also think of short documentaries & Public services messages as well... Not much fund is required except for the airtime on TV... Rest every sort of talent is available here at PW family... What you guys say.....

The idea is great. I would like to share my two cents.

I think it would be better to make it into a tv series. Something on the themes of "Wreck Rescue" or "Overhaulin'" or "Wheelers dealers".

Just think about it. A good pilot episode could be made that would attract sponsors. You could also go along the lines of Top Gear "Desi style" but may not be practical. The bright minds of pakwheels might polish the idea if it is workable.

I would suggest to make it on the lines where you could have special episodes for people like REBEL who made https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/road-trips-vacations/171430-deosai-babusar-vw-beetle-you-mad-yess . It could be a remake of the same trip too. He seems to have a sense of humor so he could make it into a comedy as well. I am sure there are others who did even better.

It could have episodes where you could talk about road conditions. One road picked at a time and talked about in detail, i.e. KKH, M2, M1 etc. National Highway etc etc

You could also have a segment where you could show restoration projects. Talk on current restoration projects of Pakwheel members. This would encourage people to rebuild old ones and bring them back to life. Could also (i myself doubt it) make a change in car prices.

It this works then it could also fund a project of pakwheels where pakwheels members startup a workshop/shop where cars are restored and sold with pakwheels certified tags. Like in overhaulin.

Car dealers could buy minutes of the show to talk about the cars that are for sale in their shops. Individuals could also do so but details of how much the individual could pay could be sorted out by pakwheels specialists.

This just a rough idea. It could be further polished by the creative mind of CarSaaz (the man who originally thought of it) who is also the owner of this thread.

your ideas are amazing how ever we cannot add them in the first movie. we can do our best to keep some good parts in the first then more in the sequal.

the movie shall evolve around pakwheels as a brand. heck if hollywood can do it our boys can do better. they have the envoirnment and backing but rest assured our boys have the brains. just need to channel them through the right direction.

i am noting down your points and am pretty hopeful this can work out. vin diesel and paul walker can eath their heart out once our boys fly high.

Another emotional scene just flashed in my mind......

PW server building is hijacked by the villians. Imagine PW servers hacked by hackers.. ... Libra crying outside the building in slow motion & in black & white... His friends holding him & telling him not go inside the building. But he managed to escape & Ran towards the main gate............ All this in slow motion...............Banggg... Suddenly he wakes up & decides to launch PW in reality

this can add a matrix and fastn furious fusion.

i say it sounds like a plan.

we need some one who is good in numbers.
we need some one who is good in advice on cars
we need some one who is good in movie making
we need some one who is good in getting sponsors
we need volunteers
we need divisions
we need sub divisions
we need drivers and their cars

we need to see the results that come out with the first take of free stuff . we need to refine it. Later on if finance is required we can go for a work around.

my problem is i am so short of time. though cars have been my passion since i was a kid. for me it would be a great personal acheivement. something worth looking back at when im old an retired.

i can generate ideas. i can story board. i can connect with tv channel. i can make the music and voice over. i can try finding sponers.

there are other areas where everone can fit in. Lots of things i cannot do.i can not give expert advise on modifications. nor can i discuss the internal structure of an engine. i cannot invest in the movie. i am extremely impatient how ever passionate. i belive in dreams.

MASHALLAH great to see you all so involved in this idea.

i am begining the story boarding. even if this fails which i hope it never does i will still be glad i tried.

funny thing is this idea just struck to me when i was driving up hill on the national stadium road and saw a 2 boys trying to race.

Dear CarSaaz, no need of thanks. My idea is to make it into a TV series but I think your idea is better that it would be better to first make a movie and then turn it into a TV series or sequel.

What I was thinking was Overhaulin' but as I was writing it turned out to be on the lines of Top Gear (only in the sense that it could have segments) not all in one episode.

There are already so many projects running on pakwheels by pakwheels experts. Like the rebuild of the FJ40 (concordia) or the Unimog Panga project (maybe it is finished). There are threads of making muscle cars out of corolla 78s. Take some or one of those projects and just document it on video.

You could float the idea with TV channels (just watch out that no one steals it) and see what feedback you get.

IJC or other jeep clubs or vintage car clubs or individual car maker clubs could do a small documentary on there activities.

The idea coming in Ramazan is not something to be taken lightly. Pakistan was created in Ramazan on Shab e Qadr.

All of us should pray that this be a start of something for the better. I am sure it will do alot of good.

There are some researches being done by universities. Like NUST is doing on bio fuel. It could be documented in detail.

Just brain storming. You know more than me about whats on Pakwheels. May Allah make this into something great.

To start off it could just be compiled on a pakwheels channel on youtube. then when sufficient data is there you could compile it into a movie. It would save alot of cost.

Try to download or buy wreck rescue. I have it with me and I can give it to you when I come to Pakistan. Watch it. The guy is a restorer of cars. He also did "A 4x4 is born" and "An MG is born". They can also be downloaded. The guys name is I think Mark Evans. You might be able to contact him through his website or through website of wreck rescue.

Maybe the right person in the Govt. might catch up with the idea of restoring the cars of Govt. rather than auctioning them and saving a lot of money.
