Go and apply first. There is no guarantee that you will be get selected. In my view you probably have 0.5% chance to get selected in Pakistani Armed forces whereas you have 99.99% chance to get selceted in US or Canadian forces:P. Once you get selected you can decide on leaving the citizenship etc etc.

Facts are facts, if you like it or not.

As far as Abottabad operation is concerned, Americans have used the paths between mountains so that they remain undetected and on top of that stealth technology has made the job easier for them.

Secondly Pakistani Armed forces were aware when the operation was being carried out but they did not receive the orders to counter the Americans from high ups. Otherwise they would have directly have entered a state of war with United States with backing from rest of the world. That’s why they maintained the silence that they did not even knew what happened till the time operation was completed.

and they could have may be confronted the us forces, but they dont want to be responsible for triggering a major war and destroying an entire country just because they came here to kill a terrorist.....

OP, dont join their airforce lol, You will seriously regret it. there are no benefits at all. Join the canadian airforce, youll have shitload of benefits and once you retire, youll have atleast 1 million dollars in your account. If you want to do something for pak, i'd say, invest something in pak, create jobs there so people can benefit. but dont think about joining the pak forces, they arent for everyone plus there is alot of corruption and black sheeps in it

Any ways ,joining army in this region is not like in us r Canada or what ever .their might be but here its not a profession or the source of earning good money ! its something different here "its passion to server ur country".
apply for it , there r very less chances for ur selection as a fighter pilot , coz only best of the best reach there. But who knows u might be 1 of them . nd if u r worried about citizen ship then my advies will be drop the idea and make ur life there earn good for urself and ur family BEST OF LUCK

I call myself Canadian because I have no relation or anything to do with Pakistan rightnow, I pay my taxes here, I get free health care here, I get complete security by the Canadian govt, In no way I represent Pakistan, Well yeah I am brown and Was born in Pakistan, thats pretty much it. Brother, i dont want to argue over how we are treated here and how Pakistanis are treated in Pakistan. We all know that very well. Also, I did not bash on pak forces, today, they arrested a brigd from GHQ for supporting a certain group. And thats why i said there are black sheeps in the forces. Do you read newspaper? Please dont throw rocks at a glass house when you also live in one. I am treated here very well, free healthcare, security, electricity, no food or gas shortage, respect. there is tons of other things to add in the list. I love you guys, I am not here to fight. I dont want to give mods a hard time. You guys are like my brothers and sisters. You should always respect ones opinion even if you dont agree with. isnt this the same army that initiated kargil war with a nuclear armed neigbour without even informing its own government?!!
about 60 years of independence and more than 50% of it was rules by army generals, so u cannot say our army in under all under government control!!
after the whole abottabad drama, on samaa TV or dunya TV a former PAF pilot came for interview and he said he wished pakistan had attacked the US helicopters and shot it down and in return had its PAF airplanes shot down as well just to show to US and the world that they are not afraid, to make a point that Pakistan's army is not a pushover.
