I think 3 people were dead
This hapend in early days of this lhr rwp non stop service .this hapend because some one removed the fish plates of track so it deralied and coches fel down

A question for you:

How do they inspect the track for any abnormalities before the train passes? Is it possible to inspect thousands of KMs of track? So does it not make train journey very risky? If the road has a bump in it; the chances of a car rolling over is less. But if the train track is tempered in any way then it causes a big accident, no?

Regarding inspection of thousands of km of track it is responsibility of every division to maintain track in their own division so. Thousands of km of track is divided into difrent divisions who look after track in their jurisdiction so not a single person or dept is taking care of all track.and regarding method of inspection I dont knw exact method but they do so by regular visit of work trains to find out any abnormalites in track .and when there is a high alert they send a pilot engine which is a small vehicle runs on rails which keeps traveling ahead of train on distance of few km so to report in advance if there is something wrong
And regarding tempering of rails yes if there is even inches of tempring in track then train wil be derailed

And what electricity they use at road rail cross and in signals wapda or they have their own power

Electric signals are very rare in pr system and no crossing are electrifie all are manual

Ever seen a gangman walking along the track holding wrench and hammer in his hand. He's actually inspecting the track all the way looking for any minor issue. Major issues are found by occasional visit by PWI or DE of that particular division on trollies that are pushed by gangmen.

Furthermore patrolling is done by every division's gangmen. In night, you see some people giving torch to coming train. They are in patrolling party. Also railway police is responsible for safety.

Train journey is still the safest as compared to road.
