Bro this depends, if u travel from uk to Pakistan this is much easier for u to get the entry permits of your vehicle and ur self but if u travel from Pakistan to uk this was harder then any thing specially when u have green passport and Pakistan register car. i tried in 2003 with multinational sponsor but didn't got success. specially Clarence of vehicle in Iran and Austria. i again try this in 2005 for china but china also refuse Pakistan registered cars

A very nice idea and initiative. It was no big deal till late 80s as many Pakistanis used to come to Pak via road.

If anyone knows the procedure or what to do, how to do, please share here. I will be visiting Germany in a couple of months and would love to go on my own car.

Last year in aug i met a traveler from uk at shandoor top... He is on Yamaha trail bike(i don't knw the cc of the bike but it is around 250) my guess... He drove from uk to pakistan 15000km (his words) n further he is going to india n nepal n then to uk.. He had a gps,maps, go pro n many other electronics.. This is his second trip.. He was visited Pakistan in 2009 on bike.. I saw his passport...

i did some extensive research have a similar trip in mind will share when everything is sorted.

okay Before planning anything get the NOC from the gov of Pakistan.IT IS MUST.
The route i would be following will be from Pakistan > Iran > turkey >Europe (u can chose any route from there).
About security concerns according to my research .The most dangerous part is getting out of Pakistan.We have a army base about 4-5 hours drive from the Border at Dalbandin, Pakistan. you will have to complete from dalabdin to Zāhedān in one go.it is recommended to arrange an escort till taftan border.

you need 4 visas
schengen visa (toughest to get)
iran visa
turkey visa
uk visa

There are many things to be considered. Other than Visa (which I don't see a big issue at all), Issue is, getting bike cleared for entry in each Euro country. Euro II bikes can be helpful, but they take emission tests to issue clearance and this part seems most difficult ( with my limited budget)
Above all of these is "determination". I know I will come along 100s of people, showing me danger and creating fear....... that's also good that people do concern your safety.............BUT important thing is who is giving you helping hand in any sense (moral, information or any such)

So the point is till now, the hardest thing is to get visa's

I need suggestions from PW member who can help me decide best route from Pakistan to UK.

And also budget selection, visa and some other requirements that i may face.

For now iam only planning this. May Allah grant me enough strength and capital ofcourse to pull this off.

I need help about route selection, permits required.

As far as i know shortest route to UK is:

from Pakistan to Iran -> Turkey -> Bulgaria -> Serbia -> Hungary -> Austria -> Germany -> Nietherland -> Belgium -> france -> England

Total distance from 1 side will be something like 8000km's

Vehicle: yes it will be a bike tour

you will be needing visa for all the countries to cross & reach UK. Plus a personal health insurance covering your entire route and a travel insurance covering your vehicle.

the vehicle shall be registered in your name with a verifiable insurance certificate covering all countries on your route. You will need a customs clearance certificate for export to import [ exit to renter ] for your ride. [ In case you choose to sell / dispose of your ride at end of journey you shall submit proof of disposal upon return & cancel the registration with excise dept. ] <-- optional

last but not least a roaming cell phone, a credit / atm card with VISA / MASTERCARD Logo to keep you financially healthy.

Few Tips out of past to plan a road trip in a car, plan it as follows:

1st i will obtain a visa to enter by road for destination country. once it is stamped i will apply & obtain visa for all countries enroute. while getting international driver's license from Traffic police license branch.

2nd i will pay applicable local taxes for my vehicle & compile papers of ownership in 1 folder. make a copy and apply for exit to re-enter permit by road from Ministry of Interior, with copy of my passport & visa pages. That paper carry vehicle details with regn number, engine & chassis number color of vehicle, name of passport holder(s) in the vehicle with validity date. It allow to exit & re-enter Pakistan without payment of import duty during specified period. [ as in carnet de passage ]

3rd i will obtain personal travel insurance for duration of my travel and insurance for my vehicle covering countries enroute.
4th get my vehicle inspected for fit to travel long stretches & rig a permanant GPS unit like a sound system.
5th check over internet and establish contacts with recovery services across the route.
6th locate all possible travel clubs & road trip organisers and gather maximum data, establishing & sharing approx travel dates and most likely time of arrival. in particular I will get hold of long haulers travelling between Iran & Belgium they are GOLD MINERs with plenty of information which only drones can gather

7th get myself medically check and know my allergies. write down in bold over a card & keep with papers. because the very 1st thing in case of emergency across any highway in developed world rescue services ask for 'any known allergies '

8th cross refer & confirm vehicle VIN from manufacturer because in case of break down & absence of part number of required part, vehicle VIN number is only source to buy a part required in remote corner of Azerbaijan from dealership in Baku. - It may be different now in presence of Smart phones & satellite network coverage at affordable prices.

Bro if u need a partner i am ready to go with u.. On my own expanse and share. I also tried to do it once but i faced visa prob for uk and entry permit for vehicle.. The planed vehicle was toyota surf 94 model petrol. Total jouney from mid of pakistan city name "dera ghazi khan" to london was around 10000 km.

It was not my plan solely. One o my friend suggested this tour so I made thread to collect info.

You are right after seeing such a lengthy list of NOC's iam not going anywhere.

Capital and strength is not a problem ad iam already in touring since long. The only list is getting all the damn noc.
