There was similar successful rescue of climbers from some Central Asian Republic by Army Aviation about 2 years back. In recognition to their successful and hazardous rescue, both pilots were invited as state guests by that country.

I may add here that such rescues are not uncommon by Army Aviation for locals / army soldiers serving in northern areas. It’s just that they are not highlighted. This particular attempt came in light because it may have appeared in a news paper and here at Pakwheels.

we have enough internal enemies of this state that we dont even need anyone from outside.
