some one told that using STP can adversely effect engine performance... I would like to add one more thing here, If i check oil guage in the morning then its almost full. but if i check it after starting and switching off the engine it shows almost quarter less then full. What is the ideal time to check the oil ?

my first question is why you are tempted on using a "CNG oil" when there is no such thing in the rest of the world? we in PK are falling victim to slick marketing by these muppets who are trying to convince us that we need a certain "CNG oil" for our CNG cars,.. when we dont. You're better off using any decent oil for your car regardless of the fuel (gas or petrol). so not buy into this marketing scam.

as for the milage your oil can do. usually with a good oil & air filter and good oil you should be able to get 5000kms from your lubricant but it also depends on your driving style operating environment & engine condition.

best thing to do is choose a brand of oil then use it as normal but keep checking the state of the oil over time (every 500 till it starts to discolour and then every 100-200 till you feel it is time to change it).

there is no universal point where you should change the oil of your car.

don't use, oil marked CNG, it's made a bit light in density than normal,

There is one relation of oil to fuel that is "Oxidation Factor",
Oil oxidizes with burning in cylinder piston + chamber. AND there is different power of burning in Petrol and CNG. But due to it's low density in components or some specific additives... it burns... if not then should give better mileage may be...

Go for non-CNG, Again recommend ZIC HIFLO 20w-50, Caltex 20w-50, ENOC 20w-50, Petromin Ultra-7 20w-50.

after changing brand you may overcome the problem otherwise engine problem.

I am using ENOC Protec Ultra 10W-40 in my Swift 1990 (costed 1580 from Khi company ISB). Done 5800KM yet and plan to drag 6800 KM for change, it got blackish after 4K and that was due to air filter box problem and dust went and I used injector and carburetor cleaner though not much run on petrol yet.

20W-50 should be good also as currently it's new and no 2 number. it costs around 1100 (4 Ltr). If your engine doesn't have problem then go for 10W-40, I felt good after using; engine sound and performance, and plan to use it again next change.

While Storm is correct in saying that there are no API standards for natural gas engines, please note that there are special specifications set up by engine manufacturers (Cummins CES 20074, Detroit Diesel 93k216) that apply to properties of engine oils used in NG powered vehicles. These usually mean less phosphorus, and an add-pack that is more targeted towards preventing nitration, which is a greater risk for NGVs, than oxidation, whcih is a greater concern for petrol and diesel engines.

Several manufacturers are indeed coming up with oils specially for NGVs, for example Shell Rotella T3 NG (15W-40):

However, please note the most small passengers diesels will be fine with quality motor oils that are API certified since these special oils are for heavy engines mostly.

Yes it is ok , but is suggest you to switch over to ZIC HIFLO, API SM,SAE 20W50 with more better result than Quartz CNG

As recommeded by OEMs , warm up the engine and then switch off the engine about for 5 to 6 Min. and then check the level and vehicle should be parked at level ground too.

Dear Bro. if you really take care of your vehicle with regard to its maintance i.e Air Filter , Good Oil Filter, sober driving habits ect..
if all is good then i suggest 4k ODI

Dear sir, Basically ZIC HIFLO IS API SM, GRADE and it can easily give above 6k , but ODI always depends upon some important factors like , OEM recommendation , engine mechanical condition , fuel catagory and quality , driving habits ect..
finally you can drive it atleast 4k to 5k according to engine coditions and other factors mentioned above.

yes dear hifo is Mineral base but beside that it has the greatest API certification of SM, more over it has the best Viscosity Index too, whith mean less change of viscosity with increase of temprature.

hi i went to dis shop actually i went to buy zic a plus for my car shop guy showed 2 bottles of zic a plus to me there was price diffrence btw em i asked why he said there are 2 kind of zic on is imported an one is made in pak those made in pak are fake and diffrence btw em is it was written on 1 bottle zic lubricants an on other energy both were zic a plus but 400 rupees diffrence so i am bit confused btw zic lubricants and energy and yeah 1 another thing i started using zic a as well rectently but pro is it changes its colour after every2 or 3 k while its suppose to do 5 at least i used shell b4 zic an it never changed its colour till 4 or 5 k
