I have Daihatsu Charade 1986 (three cylinder, 993cc CB23 [I]engine).

[/I]Please advise me Engine oil. Also in current winter season gears are not smooth until I move few KMs. Also advise gear oil that keeps gears function smooth in all weather conditions.

I recommend you to use ZIC SD 5000, API CH-4, SAE 15W40 for the engine and for the gear use ZIC FF, API GL-4, SAE 75W85,

Watch out...hold for sometime....let ZIC come back again.....ZIC SD 5000 is for diesels

Ive been using zic A+ 5w/20 for my santro. Would you recommend changing to Zic A in summers?? (confused by the temp thing discussed here :s ) or should i stick to A+ all year long?? Car is driven very light footed with daily running of 70-80kms. About 30 kms in city and 40 to 50kms on highway.

Kindly please be noted when you talk about the synthetic engine oils you don't need to be worry about the harshness of all winter although it is bellow freezing point or it is temperature exceeding 50 centigrade a synthetic engine oil can withstand with all temperature ranges so if your car engine is at the lightest viscosity oils then as far as you can go with lighter oils you should use it because they mimize the friction and wear , reduce engine noise , protect the engine , provide quick start ect, so do not go to heavier oil stick to ZIC A+,

In that case do you recommend the use of Zic A+ 5W-20? Do you have any oil in the above 20W-50 grade?

before starting the engine all panel lights switches ON but the oil pressure switch does not ON. it happened only in winter extreme low temperature rest of the day and even in night time its ok. i am using ZIC 10W-40 and this was not happening two weeks ago in Islamabad, but happened when i was in Swat last month. please help

Yes i obviously recommend you lighter engine oil like ZIC A+, BUT If you require the oil in 20W50 grade oil then i inform you that ZIC HIFLO has the grading of 20W50.
