I have seen deals of this year from KFC and McDonalds in your topic and discussion on a minor part of the offer from Subway so therefore want to share with you my personal experience:

Had this deal yesterday. There basically FIVE foot longs. Now it's up to you to choose how many pieces, two or three, you want one foot long to be cut into. There is NO restriction on the filling (beef/chicken/mutton/steak/turkey,etc.) for this. It is just the 6" one which you have to choose from chicken as mentioned above.

There were six of us. All ate well and we were free in twenty minutes. Hence I'd say quick, cheap and good tasting.
