These photographs are HDR composites of three shots each, all taken in 14-bit RAW format.
The equipment used was a 70-200 mm f2.8 lens on a D3X body, mounted on a tripod and fired remotely, set in Aperture priority mode at f2.8 and ISO 100.
The first set of shots were taken at 70 mm, with a 1 second exposure at 0 EV, then 2 seconds at +1 EV, and lastly 4 seconds at +2 EV.
The second set of shots were taken at 92 mm, with a 1/5 second exposure at 0 EV, then 1 second at +2 EV, and finally 2 seconds at +3 EV.
These were then combined via Photomatix into one HDR image, and then reduced in resolution by IrfanView to 1600 pixels width for uploading to Flickr.
