you are absolutely right sir, we got plenty of rain last year and this year. Its all good now. i still remember when Allatoona lake was all dried up. you should visit georgia now, you will enjoy.

Nice macro-mode photography guys. Now, anyone for some shots with telephoto lenses?

Today (2nd July 2011) the Moon will pose as a slender 30 hour old crescent at dusk:

Sha'ban 1432AH Crescent Sighting

The Moon will be even thinner from Australia and Malaysia and other far-eastern tropical countries.

The crescent, it the sky is clear in Pakistan and India, will look very slightly thicker than this:

And more tilted and about as thick as this (may be a tad bit thinner), if it is not hidden by the clouds in the first place :

Some great gems posted in the last week. DoF is definitely a favorite theme for many.

My favorite one was from Zaeem, the droplets photos, Jazzy's car keys, and the second jhumka photo from VC.. but that's just personal opinion. The rest were simply as good. Great job 2f4u, Jazzy, Zaeem, VG, VC, NFSMW, Madhouse, ShanBhatti, Cheers, and anyone I've missed(believe me it wasn't intentional).

Street photography it is as 2f4u mentioned. I'll update the title in a moment.

Jazzy - lets not get into that lame game of ''Staying on first page'' which turns the thread into lousy junkyard where OP posts every useless detail on which nut he scratched in the morning when he woke up to which of his gums bleeds when he brushes his teeth before going to bed.

Lets keep it objective. Less is more
