Magik lol jk! there is a mode in my camera and it highers the shutter speed and i perform a task with My 1208 and i succeeded i hope you get my point!

Go to a dark place.
Set the dial to "S".
Set the shutter value to 2 sec - 4 sec.
Set the 2 sec timer to avoid any vibrations.
Use any light source (Sun excluded) like torch, lasers etc and write infront of the camera after clicking.
Voila!

After having a DSLR for couple of weeks and getting the second lens for it...Carrying a DSLR around is weird; I didnt felt this weird with my film SLR (it was Olympus; that was famous for making most compact film SLRs I guess)

Tonight we were in market; there were some beautiful lights; kids were in full swing after getting their school stuff....few things I could not capture!

I am feeling what Kevin is saying!

And just to make your life easy - G12 and XZ-1 are NOT pocketable.

And just to make your life easy - G12 and XZ-1 are NOT pocketable.

Suggestion noted; I had Panasonic FX3 and now I am regretting why I gave it away I am considering to get some compact thing for casual snaps that I can carry easily.

4/3rds are not compact if you're carrying even one extra lens with them. They are surely not pocketable even if you're not. The only difference is 1- they are cute, and 2- they're easier on the neck than a DSLR when you carry them.

My S95 is a truly pocketable camera...and even after being a year old, it is arguably the best P&S in the market. The low light photography is where it shines the most..plus manual control over everything. It surely is a keeper.

A low light example : There was a street light more than 100 meters away, and an energy saver in my backyard lighting up the tree.
