Passo 2005 transmission problem O/D light blinking

The problem might not be the sensor itself..the problem might be something related to the sensor that may cause the oxygen sensor to malfunction hence the computer throws the code of faulty oxygen sensor. diagnosing the ecu equipped engines can be pretty confusing sometimes.

ask your mechanic to open fuel pump and clean the fuel filter. without registered authentic software never hit & try scanners over efi cars.

Oxygen sensor error happens either:

1. due to dead sensor
2. due to bad air & fuel mixture at exhaust

either can cause high fuel consumption as well

Same problem with my Passo 2006 after changing the back wheel hub.

I bought Passo 1.3 make 2007. It was also showing O/D light blinking issue. What I observed is that whenever car engine heats up and achieves normal RPM, O/D off light starts blinking and there is problem with gear shift otherwise everything is ok.
ECU scanner displays "P1706-Torque converter abnormal".
Electrician checked all Solenoids one by one and he is saying one solenoid for O/D is faulty. where can I find this sensor in Karachi?

Interesting thing is this issue was resolved when I bypass Coolant temperature sensor. Car runs smooth and gear shifting is also normal. Only issue is that because of no feedback of temperature, Car RPM will always remain high.
I want permanent solution. Can any body guide me?
Should I go for kabli gearbox or not?

you can get these solenoids in scrap yard for cheap new one are a bit costly so first of all try to find one if not found then go for a scrap transmission also get the snap shot of transmission parameter's from scan equipment and post it here so we can help you in better ways for diagnostic's

I am facing the same issue with my toyota passoo 2008 model.
When i go for scanning my car the engine connects with scanner but transmission is not detected. The mechanic suggested me to change the TCM attached picture now where i can found that part. Uploading...

carefully examine your throttle body at first stage.....if u find extra one with any mechanic then replace it with your existing one and have a test drive......let me know the results....you may also call on 03008234771

Hi bro, the CVT needs calibration. Do it with a diagnostic computer which has this facility to calibrate it .

Mine GOT FIXED. The OD light is no longer blinking. 2 months now since fixing it without changing the transmission or gear box.

code P1706 is for range sensor, which is the position switch on the transmission itself. Its pretty easy to diagnose and replace too.

I have had the same issue, connector wire for camshaft sensor was damaged, got it repaired and everything is good now
