Nice pics and great effort by you guys.

Due to the construction of Diamer-Bhasha Dam a 100 Km patch of KKH will be submerged in its reservoir. For this reason this patch needs to be re-located to a higher altitude. Currently its under construction. Is it the same patch you encountered which is in a bad state?

It took 20 years to build the original KKH, lets hope it wont take that long to re-make it this time

We didnt see any activity at the Bhasha site or road being relocated rather no maintenance or activity at all from Thahkot till Raikot. Very swift construction work is going on from Raikot bridge till the Khanjeran pass by the Chinese. Even most of the laborers are Chinese who cant understand english.

I think it is a very serious and shamefull case of neglect. People and their wheels are suffering.

I see. Why are Chineese working on KKH? Isnt it the job of FWO or NHA? Anyway, as I stated earlier ripping apart of KKH for Bhasha Dam project is also planned by the government. Looks like that our beloved KKH will be under the hammer for quite some time.
