WOW very nice trip Bhatti Sb. and very nice coverage. The unique thing is that you guys have done on bikes which would have taken some endurance.
I liked the pictures of Darbar Mahal. Is it a public place like a museum or is it a restaurant? Also I remember from childhood that there is another palace in BWP and as far as I can remember it housed a Div HQ of Army. Visted there from Okara Cantt where my father was posted. What is that palace and did you get the chance to visit that or maybe it must be closed for public.
Anyway wonderful trip
no its niether a museum nor resturant...... its the residence palace of nawab'z of bahawalpur......just like the mughals have thier palacez and forts in other parts of the country....and that second palace is noor mahal
Also the picture of the Tombs in the first page, the architecure has some resemblances with tombs and other religious buildings I have seen in Iran and Uzbekistan. Quite similar indeed. I will not post any pictures in your thread but you can check this thread if interested...https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/road-trips-vacations/122428-uzbekistan-samarqand-tashkent
You guessed rightly, Darbar Mahal now houses the div (Pelican) headquarters.
gr8 trip
Nice trip, must have enjoyed it very much. Did you get special permission to visit Darbar mahal or is it open to public, because when i last went there i got special permission from army.

@Niazi11
Yup Army permission is required to Visit Palaces except Noor Mahal
The Fort was built ~800 yrs ago by Hindu Rajput Rai Jajja Bhatti & its 40 round Pillars are give its a unique look. ~300 Years ago it was captured & rebuild by Nawabs of Bahawalpur.
