after it come off we have to shake it if it sounds or not? in case it is clogged and emits no sound on shaking then we have to get a new one. what is local term for it in case we have to buy new one. i doubt if local shopkeepers will recognize it with name of pcv
Are you having any problems? Don’t replace anything that is not giving any problems.
i want to inspect it as part of periodic maintenance as car has clocked 100k
can it be cleaned with carb cleaner if it is stuck?
no problems as such Alhumdolellah but as per theories if it is stuck it ll lead to oil consumption
Locally the shopkeepers and mechanic ustaads can it 'air flow valve'
Carb cleaner has oily material, so it's preferable to use engine degreaser to clean PCV valve. Spray degreaser inside and outside the PCV valve spray generously, wipe it with a soft cloth and let it dry for a few minutes.
it is recommended to change it after the drive of certain thousands of km!
any idea about the part number of pcv valve for vitz 1kr fe 3rd gen pre face lifti studied on another forum that pcv is a maintenance item and should be replaced after 30k miles even if it is working fine
Toyota 12204-40030PCV Valve
(Please specify model year and model code if possible. It's on registration book, something like KSP130 or SCP 92 etc)

Bro keep me posted and also update how it behaves with 1kr oil reduction crap
Tried changing it once, didn't help
Oil reduction seems to be a very widespread thing in 1kr fe.
1KR-FE is notorious for oil consumptionuse 5W-30 engine oil of any local fuel brand from brand station. Expect upto 1000 ml reduction for every 5000 kms. high milage engines must under go compression test before tearing down for overhaul

Yes but a healthy engine doesn't consume 100ml in 1000kms
