the device is called 'Lambda advancer' & it is an automatic ignition advancer when switched to CNG , Lambda because it advances / reduces the ignition firing spectrum. Altis is (1ZR FE) 1.6 - Honda Civic is 1.8 please compare apple with an apple

Altis 1.8 auto is faster than reborn 1.8 prosmatec (in terms of pickup) get ur car checked from toyota, cng kills the fun.

Nowadays it is not feasible of having CNG. Remove the kit. Get general check ups like tuning, brakes services. Then feel the difference.

My personal experiance is passion shape altis 1.8 vvti auto is not as silent as passion shape se saloon 1.6 auto....1.8 has sound like air moving viciously in air filter housing when flooref

Regarding proformance altis is way better and should be quick than gli

As far as sound yes altis has a bit louder engine reason os single muffler for a monster engine

I have kept similar altis for about an year and in my opinion this car is bit over powered. And mine used to smoke almost every car reborn is not much quick but in long drives reborn performs better because of being 5 speed automatic unlike altis which is 4 speed trip tropic

Also check it catalytic converter I migjt be slow

yes the pickup is fantastic.. i mean as soon as i press the throttle the car moves like that it will fly, but then when it comes to speeding then its not that good as i expected!

brother i knw that its not feasible to have a cng but i have to see my own pocket as well....

from where do u recommend to get my car checked, toyota motors wont be touching CNG as they deal in petrol matters only..

i mean they will tune my car on petrol only, i need to get my cng matter fixed as i drive my car mainly on CNG

Toyota motors will charge me very high as i need to get my brakes checked, my car wheels are making some chuioooo noise when the car is running plus when i press the brake i can hear the voice of brakes...

sir i was blown away with the pickup of my car, but i am not having that acceleration which i was expecting, i mean when i used to drive my reborn, i used to press the throttle hard.. and it used to feel like that someone is taking out my soul.. i dont get that feeling.. infact i feel like that i have just got the extra option, like optitron meter and all.. car engine is same

i have Altis A/T cruisetronic 2010 model,,

previously i had Toyota corolla Gli,2010 model and i recently shifted to altis.. i thought that there would be a huge difference in the speed and performance but honestly i am not that much moved with the performance, though the car pick is very good.. but gear shifting is not good, i mean the way my reborn used to get the shoot, this car doesnt.. the first gear goes upto 60 when i press the throttle hard while on highway i hit top 160 speed,

which i did in my GLI too.. now whats the difference

let me knw that what could be my issue...

The car have Cng installed in it, and yes one more thing.. i didnt found huge difference in Cng and Petrol....

Cng is old one... that had manual knobe, now there is some LEMDA system cng.. which have automatic setting and all

car milage is 65k km

last question,, does Altis engine sound more then a Gli engine,

i mean altis engine give VROOOM sound.. more its not dead silent as Gli was

Actually there is alot of difference in Gli and Altis in terms of performance. Gli is 2NZ and Altis is 1ZZ-FE. 1ZZ-FE is a good powerful engine can breath easily till 300k km w/o giving any problems if properly maintained. Now coming to the problem take you car to Toyota 3S get it completely tuned. Replace all necessary parts which are required. Replace plugs to iridium and use better wires contact Jz for this. Civic reborn has K18A having 140HP stock whereas altis is 130HP. Manual civic is much fast then altis. Get your car tuned put in iridiums use better wires use synthetic oil. I had 2006 Altis and let me tell you it was fast and i mean it. We took it till 200Km/h w/o any problem. And corolla has engine noise 2NZ gli being small engine has less noise and civic is also quite. Anyways hope you get the point.

thanks for the detailed reply, i guess i need to take it to toyota motors, but i guess my cng kit is quite old which is making this problem,

the main culprit here is CNG.. altis has a CVT box which tends to wear-out while u use it with CNG.. cars with CNG nd CVT boxes even sell for less then their actual market price.. if i were u i wud've sell this car nd get another 1 coz once damage by CNG is done there is no going back..

as per my limited knowledge in cars, toyotas in particular, altis pre-facelift models had a CVT-i transmission which could be manually controlled and 1.6l dual VVTi ZR engines are linked to super ECT which is a 4 Speed auto. 1.8l dual VVTi ZR were never introduced by IMC which had 7 speed CVT-i transmission which too can be manually operated. still i could be wrong.
