its always devoid of customers. I have asked guy over there to make available D&G The One EDP 125ml bottle but he says its officially short worldwide which according to my research is horse ****. all of their fragrances, though original, are 2000 pkr or more expensive. also their selection is so boring and they dont have a lot of testers. you wont find any latest releases at scentsation.

D&G The One EDP is easily available here in UAE...

I have reviewed it on this thread; must be few pages back. It smells remarkably similar to 24 Gold by Scentstory; tad bit more sweet then 24 gold. Raghba, when i first smelt, was like qari saab and that too the one with whom i never got along with. I have tested it again and again but never liked it. this is not a hot weather scent. it smells horrible in summers. I will test it again in winter but the problem is the moment i spray it on me family is like what the hell? so i would never recommend using this perfume in summers. also its for more mature people like 85 to 90+ in age.

Was out with family for some Eid shopping so got a chance to test some scents and immediately fell in love with the following ones...

1. Armani Code Profumo: Gosh that was heavenly and was most favorite of them all. Definitely in my wishlist.

2. Gucci Oud: Amazing fragrance, loved it at first smell. Seemed like I've smelled it on many people here. Considering buying one though.

3. 1 Million Prive: Absolutely gorgeous. 1M is like iPhone and Beats of scent world, so there's always love and hate for it. Definitely buying it soon and not afraid to tell it

4. Versace Oud Noir: No way near to Gucci but considering how less it costs compared to Gucci, is definitely worth it.

Can you please compare the Code you tested with the original Code.

I'm having trouble with my Code's sillage and longevity or perhaps it is supposed to be like that.

Same is the case with my Gucci Guilty, maybe i have a knack for strong perfumes.

Only if Code was EDP.

One Million Prive is also my favourite these days, so much similar to Tom Ford Noir Extreme.
The sillage and longevity is between Moderate to High.
But is a winter perfume. Not at all like the original 1M but much much luxurious and better.

I miss my Gucci Oud now, will be getting the Oud Intense now after eid insha ALLAH!

Also if you're inteded to buy Gucci Oud i'd want you to give D&G Velvet Desert Oud a sniff too.
I'm sure you'll face a tough decision to make!

Can you please compare the Code you tested with the original Code.

There's nothing wrong with your Code, as the original one along with all the flankers had only one problem 'performance'. Armani Code Profumo carries all the best characteristics from the previous ones with performance massively evolved.

I also have the same problem that I get bored very easily with the fragrances that are not strong enough, for example D&G The One.

Will probably buy 1 Million Prive from duty free on my way to Pakistan later this month. As for the Gucci Oud I think I'll be getting one within this week. I'll also try VD Oud but I think I'm not ready to spend that much at the moment

Here's my review after a week of usage:

Classy smell, opening is amazing in fact more than I expected. But that's it... after a couple of hours the performance reduces significantly. Online reviews show it as a monster in performance which lacked in my usage.

People say the fragrance is similar to Joop Homme and Creed Santal. Well I own a Joop Homme and I don't think they are similar, at least on my skin. I don't own a Santal and haven't tried it either but in any case I'm sure MN Individuel doesn't smell like Santal. It would be other way around as MB Individuel was introduced in 2003 and Creed Santal in 2005.

My rating: 6.5
Should you buy it: Yes and No

Yes, if you are just looking for an inexpensive fragrance with good performance
No, if you already own some high quality fragrances.

It's been 24 hours the scents have been on the paper so here are my initial thoughts.

Right after 24 hours 1 Million Prive is still going strong (as expected), second is Armani Code Profumo then Gucci Oud and last Versace Oud Noir.

Here's an interesting finding. If I smell Versace Oud Noir first, it smells great and still show life left in it. But when I smell 1M Prive or AC Profumo first then I can smell almost nothing on it.

It doesn't matter what I smell before, 1M Prive overpowers all of them.

Another finding, both the ouds smell too generic for me. You have no idea how many Arabs wear ouds here and how mainstream are they, if you don't live in UAE. Even my wife's reaction to these ouds, who has no clue of men's fragrances, 'these are fragrances Arabs wear on daily basis'. That being said it doesn't make them any less interesting, I would still wear them any time and get a lot of compliments.

You can not go wrong with any of these four...

The thing with Oud is that only someone who understands an Oud will recognise or compliment it.

I tried my Oud game when I used to live in London and people couldn't really understand it...

There are certain perfumes which will be awesome if tested on paper because paper will react differently with them than on skin. And will be completely different on skin. I always test my perfumes on skin because that how they truly show their self.

Even paper has its own signature smell which enhances or deteriorates the perfume itself.

Try Gucci Oud on one wrist and Prive on the other, the Oud will kill the other perfume in terms of longevity lol.

Gucci Oud is/was my Beast, but if you wear it everyday, you will need to have a break from it for a month or so because it will be too sweet for everyday wear.

I bought it on someone's recommendation and it does last for good long hours. But yes one should know the longevity of a perfume before buying.

That's exactly the point, the difference on different papers may not be as huge as different skins. And skin isn't my only concern, I do spray on my dress almost everyday.

One thing is I won't be able to keep my skin, I sprayed the fragrance on, untouched and unwashed for a long time. That's where paper comes to give you a better idea, of course the final decision comes down to what smells good on your skin.

Secondly when you are in a store, you test so many scents that it's almost impossible to track where you sprayed which fragrance. And frankly speaking even if I could track it there would still be one fragrance overpowering all others and won't let me make a calculated decision.

Now that I've tested them on paper, shortlisted a few of them, I know which one to test on my skin and make the final purchase.

Really tough time for me these days. Wanna buy a couple of fragrances but have MBA applications coming in December, January which will require up to 80 to 100,000 pkr in application and other fee. Cant buy perfumes right now
