Our actual plan was to stay the night in Coolgardie WA, during refueling, I had a chat with the local attendee. He advised to go to Norseman instead where we can find decent accommodation. I was advised by others to not drive after dusk or before/during dawn due to animal traffic crossing roads, which might cause an accident. When I mentioned to the attendee it might be dangerous to drive during night, he laughed and said he was born there and during his life he has never seen a kangroo crossing the road 
I took the leap and drove all the way to Norseman and stayed at Great Western Motel just a few meters away from the main junction towards Great Eastern Hwy.
