Mehran,bolan - no safety at all. Grandson driving same car in '14 as great grandfather did in 80's
Swift -its 7 years old, overpriced and already superseded by two new models abroad
Wagon R - no ABS, over priced
City - no immobiliser, overpriced
Civic - overpriced

I think we should organize pool money, hire a good law firm and sue all companies in consumer courts and seek the injunctions for making it compulsory as well as other basic vehicular safety features.

Signed....but why just Toyota Indus?? Why not Honda be petitionaed to install immobiliser in City as well? Those are also being stolen though as close as rollas but still an anti-theft device/element should always be made available by the manufacturers as Pakistani roads and streets are no more safe. My simple question to all these manufacturers is that if they provide immobilizer in their cars to other markets, what stops them to provide here in our country?

Because many people love to buy IMC Corolla, but are deterred by largescale thefts. The thread is a proof now of IMC Corolla's popularity, because people are not bothered about lack of immobilizer in non-Toyota cars

Doesn't Toyota Indus knows that its loosing so many of its potential customers just coz of immobilizer? I think that fact alone should be enough for the manufacturer to install the immobilizer, cost of which could be charged from the buyers but the buyer will be sure that his/her car is not a piece of cake for the car thieves.
