Btw some of the friends from southern side even use yaris without issues and best parts are 50% cheaper as well. 2008 can handle this much as well just like other crossovers

Sportage is a very solid car but it’s no Fortuner nor a SUV. I understand it can go to places where the terrain is rough but I think so can 2008. There are many things that count when the terrain gets rough, Torque and ground clearance are two of them and 2008 has both so I don’t think it should be an issue.

In Pakistan a lot of people have started labelling these Crossovers as SUV’s and started using them as ones as well, I feel this will just kill the vehicle off and cut its life.

Nobody is bashing Sportage here. Both Sportage and 2008 are built in the same factory by Lucky Motors so there's no point in bashing one and praising the other.

I own both so here are the pros and cons:

Sportage
Pros:
* Spacious, comfortable electric seats with lumbar support.
* Higher ground clearance means better visibility and better ingress / egress
* 5 adults can sit comfortably
* AWD can assist a lot in slippery / hilly conditions/ AWD lock is very useful but NOT made for off-roading
* Excellent dealer network and after market support

Cons:
* Underpowered engine leading to terrible fuel economy. I'm getting 9.8 kmpl over 20,000 mileage
* Interior is a bit dated as compared to other cars
* Large size means you have to be extra careful on Lahori roads with stupid bikers

2008
Pros:
* Excellent acceleration and power delivery. Can beat any PKDM / Chinese cross-over (except for Sorento V6) and sedan
* Handling and road grip is second to none in PKDM builds
* Build quality is superb
* Sporty seats and seating position is meant for aggressive seating
* Mileage is superb at 13kmpl in city and 16kmpl on motorway
* One-touch up and down windows (All 4 of them)

Cons:
* Smaller in size as compared to its price point
* Manual seats and panoramic roof curtain
* No rear-seat AC vents
* Limited dealership network as of now
* Manual dimming rear view mirror ( I know a first world problem but after experiencing auto dimming mirror in Sportage it's so much less hassle)

Nopss . RS is very responsive on rolling. Per that’s a sedan so cant compare. Also RS has plug and play options available to extract much more power if someone wants. I drove 2008 very cool to drive

Haven't compared both personally but as per videos available on the internet, 2008 does 0-100 in 8.4 seconds while Civic RS 2022 does it in 9+ in every video.

2008 is over 9 as well. Surprisingly grande is sometimes claimed as 9.5 as well but 2 cars gap is created in a moment when dragging. I had grande and i realized that speed is 7kmph over gps while civic is too accurate. Changan claims to be fastest but real test was different in our drag

Suneej Munj expert review main 9+ hai but test drive review main 8.47 secs tha. Not sure which one to believe.

0-100 i think it will definitely beat the RS after that it will catch up, this gen's RS honesty isn't really that attractive while it's stock, spend a little then the whole game changes.

and in the reviews they just change to sports mode and floor it, that's not how you check the 0-100 of a car.

Each to their own, i like sportage mainly cause of the size, it has a good road presence, very roomy, and a huge trunk, kids love it. 2008 is quite cramped out, of course tech vise, interior and exterior 2008 is way ahead, sportage isn't the latest gen so it is outdated, but i like the solid build with no gimmick features and plenty of room. Engine honestly is not underpowered at all, average is a little less but then again not too bad.

Sportage is not underpowered neither is sonata.. its just the strange Korean transmission that makes u feel u are driving a weird car. Sonata is a lovely car but until u sit on the driving seat. Transmission ruins everything not the engine. Same transmission is provided in all the cars so far. 2008 has edge there but other than drive space issue is really big for families

As I've been saying for long. 2008 is for the heart and soul. Rest of them are for the mind.
Depends on what you follow in everyday life.

Everyone has their way of living. One doesn't have to be bashed for the other to look good.

0-100 times: 2008 is faster than RS. In top speed, RS will beat 2008 because of 50 extra HP.
