Looking to buy a Peugeot to replace my Yaris ... But everyone is discouraging and advising to go for Sportage alpha in the same price range... What are the views of owners here ? Any regrets?

Its miles better than any Sportage. Sportage is an obsolete, boring car

I have both Sportage (AWD) and 2008. Sportage is now seriously out-dated but I doubt it's replacement will come in 2023 due to current economic conditions. Alpha variant is okay if you are a family man and need to seat 5 people comfortably.

2008 is a beast and driving it is second to none out of all CKD cars. But rear leg space is an issue if you seat 4 people regularly.

If you really need the size, I would advise go for Haval Jolion (if it's still available in 6 million); otherwise 2008 has no fault except for limited rear leg room.

Allhamdulillah got mine yesterday!
Shifted from MG HS!
Very smooth drive but comfort wise a little bit less compared to MG HS. Fuel average wise excellent drive around 55-60km it get 15.5km and i believe so it will give around 14-16km/L.
Interior wise and exterior wise car is really attractive fun to drive throttle response better then MG.
Sound system is really fantastic. Steering is decent soft on low speed good to drive.
At the end you will always enjoy the drive of this car​️

Have you refuel Hi Octane or Normal fuel? Because I have read the manual and mentioned clearly to use RON95 only with this engine.

yes its more spacious. its a corolla of crossovers now. robust 2.0 engine which takes any type of fuel, good space, market presence & no malfunctions since 4 years now. only looks are questionable.
