Hi Guys,
A person in a facebook group was mentioning some updates in peugeot 2024 model which to me seem like untrue otherwise they would be marketing it. Any news if there are any changes or any new features this year?
I booked mine this month from Peugeot metropolis Islamabad and I was told by dealership on 20th January that my unit has been dispatched but it still hasn't reached Islamabad, any idea how long it takes? Dealership doesn't share much info about the process transparancy and vehicle tracking so I am just curious. Also, since I booked it on the installment offer, how long does it take for registration, insurance and tracker installation once the car is at the dealership?

Here is my breakdown of timelines, hopefully this will give you an idea about how long it could take:

• Submitted Documents for installment to Peugeot Samaa Jail Road - Thursday 30th November 2023
• Installment Case Approved by Peugeot - Saturday 9th December 2023
• Cheques Submitted to Peugeot Samaa Jail Road - Wednesday 13th December 2023
• Color change request (black to white) - Sunday 17th December 2023
• Stamp Papers signing - Friday 19th January 2024
• Registration started - Monday 29th January 2024

I've been told that the breakdown of the registration will be provided tomorrow. Please note that when I was getting the car, they said it will come within a month, it's been 2 months from today and I haven't got the car. I havent got any info on tracker nor have my checks for tracker been cashed yet. I did get an sms about tracker few weeks ago but I've been told I should be getting a call.

This could be my dealership (Samaa Jailroad Lahore) or LMC Peugeot didn't expect this many sales. However, I've been told that because I requested a color change (4 days after I gave in my docs), they say it caused the delay (yeah sure!).

Anyway, they had promised delivery by end of Month January but as we can see that is not happening. Let's see when I actually get the car!

Additionally, they launched 2 new colors which I saw when I went to sign my stamp papers. I like the blue color and kinda annoyed that the sales team didn't tell me the new colors were just around the corner. I would've waited! Anyway, I'm just looking forward to the car now lol.

EDIT: I just got a call today to come pick the car. So they did meet the timeline LOL!

Also for anyone interested, here is the break out of the 0% installment plan and the total cost of Peugeot 2008 Allure (Clear White) that I made for my personal use (to keep track of the cost). Hopefully this can come in handy for anyone looking into the Peugeot EMI program.

The dates are subjected to when I started my installment process. As a note, they take 50% down payment (tax and freight inclusive) and insurance, tracker and motor contribution upfront. And the rest are post dated checks of installments.

I just saw you edit, amazing. Glad to know that you are getting it, do share picture here.
In my case EFU general insurance form was filled before the case approval i-e. 30th Dec 23 and the case was approved on 10th of January and I handed over the cheques next day
The initial cheque of 3988000 was cached by the company on 15th January 2024 and since then I am just waiting while I was told that its been dispatched on 20th January 2024
They gave me a deadline of 10th Feb but it looks like there is a lot pending on the process even when car reaches the dealership so let's see.
You switched from Black to White while I opted for mercury blue as it was on display the day I got there for delivering cheques but then got it changed next day because firstly dark colors make peugeot look smaller in size and also hides some of the characters of the car thirdly I love dark colors but it catches a lot of dust which for me personally is hard to maintain/wash every day

BTW Did you pay your first installment even before receiving the car?

Does it have anti-collission/auto braking system?
Also the auto headlight feature is just for bright vs light or it turns on high beam as well when required? Because in my case I set it to auto and it never switched to high beam in any condition

1. No, no anti collision stuff. Lane keep assist and lane departure warning + blind spot monitoring + standard cruise + Fatigue monitor + 12 parking sensors in total (6 + 6).

2. Yes, for hi-beam as well as lo-beam.

Which documents were required for the installment plan and is it eligible for self-employed professionals (remote software engineer) ? I'm thinking about getting this for my wife. Banks won't even issue me credit cards lol.

@noobie Yes you would be eligible if dealership puts in some effort. I am myself a remote software developer and got my peugeot delivered last week. If you are in Islamabad you need to contact Peugeot metropolis i10 because when I first reached out of Peugeot expressway they couldnt get my case approved but metropolis did after lot of hit and try with LMC.
As for the documents:

• CNIC
• 2 recent passport sized photographs
• For foreign national, need a valid passport with valid visa for minimum of 2 years
• Latest salary slips (Past 6 months)
• Latest employment certificate
• Last 6 months credited salary bank statement
• Copy of latest bills, electric, internet or gas anything that is on the name of applicant
• Down payment cheque, 18 post dated installment cheques, insurance, tracker cheque, a total of 24 cheques (You better order your cheque book before case approval so that they don't have to wait for cheques to proceed)

And in my case I had to share my client conversation, my wise USD account staement and explanation how it gets into my account, the email thread I had with my main client and had to present it in form of a job.

It took more than 10 days to get my case approved but I kept giving info as they needed, kudos to the dealership for getting it approved

Been driving it daily for almost 2 months now, bought on their installment scheme. Absolutely loving it, highly underrated car. Although I wish they had the new colors back then, they look SICK!!

Hi-Beam Assist works like a charm. automatically dips when it detects vehicles approaching. Does not work when there is fog, rain or if the sensor is blocked due to condensation.
Adding to that i think it only works after a certain threshold speed. Its written in the user manual.

Thank you sharing the manual highlight. I couldn't experience it despite trying but it was my first long tour, will see how it works according to the guide

@alitayyab sometimes the auto headlights icon turns orange, do you know what that means?

also, does anyone know what happens when you twist the inside of the headlight stalk (left one)?

It means malfunction of the auto head light dipping. Happens in thick fog, camera lens behind the rear view mirror is dirty etc. Do note if it turns on below 25km/hr it can be because its disabled at speeds below that.

The thing is, this is not given in the PKDM owner's manual (at-least I can't find it). But it is given in the intl. manual that i linked a bit back in the thread (Pages 17 and 60). I'll link it here as well.

Since it is not given in the PKDM manual it may have an entirely different meaning.
