There's no feed back since long time.
I have also noticed that these cars have become very less,
As I can hardly see two or three cars even by visiting whole Islamabad! (while 10 Fiat Unoz I see daily!)

Fan club is amazing!
It gives a lot of information about this car and tell everyone that, the car is not bad but it's amazing.
The only problem is, "lack of Service centers and parts"

I know these cars (205 and 309 GLD) since I was 7 years old! lol

I used to go to school on Peugeot 309 (yellow cab at that time) for two years (when I live in Lahore in 1996)

My Uncle (Navy Officer) in Karachi also had this car from 1995(and just sold in Aug 2008 in 160000)
Once he went to Lahore on this car, and then we visit the whole Lahore city on 205!

Then in Rawalpindi, my neighbour also owned this car, and before he buy, he asked me wheather he should buy or not, So I suggest him to buy and he enjoy this for three years (from 2002-2005) then sold it in same price (150000) as he got a brand new imported Vitz.

Because I may own it after Daewoo (mean jab Daewoo se dil bhar jae tu!:p:p:p). As it's Road Clearence and engine power is better then Daewoo. (Daewoo's tyre size is 13" pug is 14")
So it'll work good on rough roads!

Anyone can tell me the Peugeot spacialist in Rawalpindi/Islamabad, My friend's 205 (live in AJK) has some clutch problems. It needs clutch service.

I have been really busy from the last 4 months and i did not visit pakwheels ...

nice to know that you are a peugeot 205 fan...

My ride is running fine.. as good as ever...

Your friend from AJK will have to get his car to rawalpindi... and its clutch problems would be solved...

there is a specialized workshop in pindi.. and parts can be arranged.(though a bit expensive: if new)

Welcome Back

Actually that friend has EXCHANGED his pug with Army auctioned CJ jeep (with his cousin lives in ISB)

Now the car is in I-10 Islamabad and that guy can mantain it pretty well

But an other friend who lives in pindi want 2 restore his pug.

Last Friday, we took this car to "Sadiq Ustaad" (who claimed that he's worked in U.A.E)

He told us that car needs:

*Complete Engine overhaul (j tusi pesey kharach sakday o, tey eas diesel engine noo e teayar karwa lo, nae tey koi hor engine set revey ga!)

*Some interior parts (dash board is OK, & parts r available in Sadder as well)

*paint job & front&rear bumbers, head&tail lights (also available in sadder)

*Suspension (I afraid won't available in market)

&

*Some other works

(I'll try to upload pics)

And he don't agree to spend more then 90k (100k max...)

So shall we go 4 restoration? (car is 90k kms driven+rust free)

Where's peugeot workshop in Rawalpindi?

well do post some pics of the car..

100k is good enough...

the car can be restored to its original condition ..
we just need to know, how much work is required other than mechanical work..

suspension parts can be brought in from europe, some engine parts are also not available locally...

do not have anyone start working on the engine..please... the place i m going to tell you is the den of peugeot's from all over pakistan... the guy has worked for years in saudi arabia in the assembling plant of peugeot back in the eighties... HIs name is saleem,

just post some pictures..... we will soon plan a little french car meet and inspect that car.

i m out of city quite often for a day or two, so please bear with me the slight delay in response.

Ok, Doesn't matter at all!

DANTING work has done (cost 6k, bit expensive but nicely done(Y))

But now he's call it off by June09, coz:

1) His grandfather (in Karachi) got seriously ill, & his elder bro has gone to Karachi:(

2) He's pretty busy in study.

So in June, he'll be free from Universty and hope we'll restart the restoration. INSHALLAH!!!

Well....as far as color, I recomand him for ICE BLUE METTALIC (new vitz wala!) but he's willing to repaint it in STONE SILVER METTALIC!

Nice to hear that there's a Pug spacialist in our city(Y)

Although your friend will start restoring in june, its a good idea to start collecting the parts for restoration.. like Rings, Headgasket, waterpump, head bolts, timing belt, engine seals, etc. as it can take quite sumtime to collect all these parts..

the fuel average was excellent

distance covered=400kms

total fuel =1200rs

average : 19 km per liter,

around 3 rs per kilometer

average speed 100kmph
top speed 150 kmph

I'll give you some phone numbers soon. There're two shops in Sadder Rawalpindi. Head & Tail lights, bumpers, some interior parts like door handles and blah blah are available at reasonable price:) but I'm afraid dashbord won't be available there. You'll have to search it in Sultan Ka Khoh and other kabari bazars in the town. However it's not impossible though, but you'll have to pay high price, like 15-20k for good dashbord:)

btw whatever happend to your dash? could you please post the pics of your car?

minx can tell you better but I guss he's busy at the moment:)

Thanks alot for showing your concern.I will inshallah upload some pics soon.So can u tell me what can be the estimate for pug 205 complete Body remake.The engine in good condition but the body is in very bad condition.Interior excluding Dashboard is also in good condition but it requires new bumpers,paint,wheels,lights,rear wiper,front grill,Rubbers and some other this kind of things.It has a 1N engine in it and is working great.And please can you suggest any favourable colours.

1N engine parts are easy to find:)

Please post some pix, then I'll give you a better suggestion. Take pictures in daylight, and DON'T post them in "thumbnail" option.

I'll go to Sadder on Sat or Sunday and then ask that dealer.

i put in new front shocks by monroe back in may 09
and just put in new outer cv joints last week..

the mileage on the meter is now 117600miles which are almost 190,000 kms
