All this area was encroached. This is being cleared and the entrance will be encroachment free in 1-2 years.
Walled City Authority was created in 2012 to manage affairs inside walled city and in association with the World Bank, Norwegian Government and Agha Khan Cultural Service they are trying to preserve the heritage of the walled city.
This walk was also a part to promote tourism and show the development work being done inside the walled city.
