This forum will help explain what I went through to restore a totally shot rusty vespa p150s. The scooter for the record was once my grand father's then my uncles and my dad and now meeeee XD
They recieved it in a wooden box as per my dad

Thanks to lack of shelter, rain and drug addicts, tons of parts where stolen off of it and the rest of the trick was done by trusty rain and US who neglected it. Ahhhhhh

So here are some of the pictures showing the state of the scoot.....but the good side is that its not that bad all the panels are covered by surface rust luckily. A few holes need to plugged up though which will be done and obviously it will go through immense body work. The floor was replaced probably at some point in it's life span...

I removed the hideous chrome stuff myself and the emblems but it was a pain staking process cause of the rust.

Called my trusty mechanic to my place and we disassembled the entire thing

Assembled and labelled every part with zip ties and tags

Took it to the body shop and handed it over for denting for now and will paint this after Eid InshAllah
The transport people where asking a 1000rs for taking it to the body shop but I wrapped it up and it easily fitted onto the back seat of my honda city

The engine was full of dirt and grease and I had no hopes of it starting but Allhamdolilah it did on the first try all thanks to Allah and Tanveer bahi.
We have disassembled it entirely and from the inside it is clean.
Dispatched some of the parts to be chromed.
All of this gooey stuff will be thoroughly cleaned iA

Degreased most of the parts now off to painting some of them!

I saw a few people making cafe seats for their scooters so i decided to make a prototype out of foam and then carved it with a knife and now it looks like this! InshAllah will sand it in the morning and the will get a fibergalss or a metal seat InshAllah

Indeed great effort and fun diy , as i myself restored my grandfather's vespa super150 1971 as a diy in this lockdown, hope to see this rocking on roads when it completes , are yyou from rwp/islamabad? coz looking for some company for weekend rides as i ride alone all weekend.
