These pics are right up my alley! Old racers are always cool to look at, and hear as well if you get the chance!
Did you hear the 365 running? It must be deafening as I see no silencers...
I'm not too sure about the canards on the Ferrari, the 300SL had the same thing, but in a horizontal plane above the wheel arches to separate air flow below and above the arches. I suspect the vertical canards might help in high speed turns?
Here's a bit of info about Philip Toll Hill Jr. for those who aren't into old race car drivers:

About the Porsche, I saw a 904 at the Le Mans automotive museum las weekend, I'll post up some pics of that soon as well. Just getting back down from the 30+ hour high over the weekend :P.
The tail section of the 904 looks like a Kamm Tail as found on the GT40, the Daytona Coupe and a lot of Ferrari's of the day. It was a classic case of aerodynamics seeming completely unintuitive. The Kamm Tail is still used in a lot ot modern cars, Hybrids most notably.
I'll keep an eye on this thread (if I can get updates that is, the post alert notification thing doesn't work too well yet.)
Cheers bro'!
