using a piece of cardboard, Yamamoto shapes a pattern for a metal reinforcement, cuts it out of mild steel and bends it on pre-designated lines copied from the cardboard template. The piece is drilled and chamfered, then welded to the body.

After dropping the subframe, reinforcements are fitted and TIG welded, with special emphasis placed on the A-arm mount points, which receive unique chamfered pieces of steel. The frame is subsequently painted gloss black - looking as clean as factory.

In the creation of the Roll cage, no corners are cut. Note the bracing of every attachment point, as well as the monster side beam and further reinforcement of the inherently strong X-brace.

Chassis pieces which are not important to structural rigidity in the S2000, particularly those that lie ahead of the front suspension and aft of the rear suspension, are drilled to save weight.
