LOL....I knew it!!! Thats exactly the reason why I was asking you for more pictures!! E30 has small lights whereas this one had one first-to-the-left bigger then the other!!I even googled it ...Dammn I lost some rispekk on the internet as a BMW fanboy!!

Haha...a true fanboy would've spotted the differences a mile away :). Also, it's not just the lights the whole front looks different :p.

Alright...i'll let you by this time but don't let it happen again :P.

Notice how the front of the E28 M5 slants inwards from top to bottom. The E30 M3 front end isn't slanted and as a result the headlights wont stick out like they do in the the E28. You can see the headlights sticking out in the pic.
