It was an awesome show. Hats off to the organizers and PAKWHEELS for the arrangements. I was specially there for the show. Thanks to all, especially Libra, spitfire, fobak, asifcae, assadghumman, joinami, autophile, hash4u, spiderman, rozzzz for a nice meetup.

i also got there late, could only catch the last half-an hour of fun. I went there assuming hardly 30-40 participants in total to be present. I was approaching from Mcdonalds side and when i took the F-8 side wala turn towards the venue, i saw an unbelievably long queue of cars parked and a horrible traffic jam. I was still under the impression of the 30-40 members gathering only. Disgusted by the long long traffic jam I rolled down the window and asked a passer by:
"ye traffic kion jam hay"
"ye sab Car Show dekhnay aaiy hain"
i was in pleasant shock-and-awe.
Perhaps twin-cities members would agree with me that, this kind of long queues and crowds only turn up in Lok Virsa annual exhibitions.
i wish someone could post pictures of that mile long extended parking outside on road. it was impressive show. A lot of petrol heads & diesel heads (and CNG heads like myself), FWDs, RWDs, 4x4s, VW beetles, sportscars, bikes and all, even toys were there. I could hardly believe this sumptuous array of cars.
Towards the closing had a brief yet nice meeting with Hanif bhai, Rahman Bhai, Suneel Manj and Hash4u and other Pakwheelers whose names i could'nt attribute to their faces.
Mehrozzz Niazi (Rozzzz) and the entire organising team...i must say it was sheer hard work. a job well done.

..and towards the end of the show, the road in front of F-9 Park, virtually became a Formula-1 race track for a while.
... a lot of roaring engines and fire-spitting exhausts and screechy burn-outs...
a fitting conclusion to an automobile show.
even an otherwise zero-tolerance Islamabad Traffic Police were enjoying it on the sidelines

As for those making comparisons between this and the Lahore one, m sure they don't mean to offend anyone; they are just telling. However, we did have Suneel Munj who arrived a day earlier to see to the arrangements. Moreover, the Lahore Chapter was the one which gave us a boost to do the same so in actual, hats off to them for being the TREND SETTERS. Rest, PakWheels.com is one family and together we all move ahead.

alicashif your pictures are the best. I have all along been waiting for Spiderman's because his and more or less the same. He was unwell so I do hope he didn't leave his camera purposely. Spider, where's your pictorial web?
