I recently got the papers of the vehicle. These include:

1- Sales Invoice - Customer Copy
2- Sales Invoice - Verification Copy
3- Sales Certificate - Customer Copy
4- Sales Certificate - Verification Copy

Which ones do I need to attach with the Form F as part of the registration application?

Thanks. I went to the excise office and got the vehicle registered.

For the benefit of others, here is a brief overview of my experience:

• I filled up the form and attached all 4 copies of documents I mentioned in my previous post along with the address sticker and a copy of my ID card.

• Went to the office along with cash and was surprised to know that they no longer take cash - the process is good but I was unaware of it.

• The guy at the counter told me that I can give him the cash and he will coordinate with the bank to get it deposited.
  -- I was REALLY skeptical and did not want to do that.
  -- The guy at the counter said that they will give receipt of cash which I got as part of the final receipt/print (it says Paid).
  -- Before this, I called one of my contacts in a relevant government department and he confirmed a bit later that it is OK to give cash as long as I get the receipt and usually this is being followed.
  -- However, I would recommend others to deposit in the bank/follow the proper procedure rather than take this risk.

• After payment, got the biometric done (right thumb) and paid 120 Rs fee.

• Then I was asked to come back in 3 to 4 days for vehicle inspection. I was told to bring the vehicle with number plate attached/present.

• In total I paid 317855 Rs for registration cost.

You can actually take the vehicle with you at the time and get it inspected right there to avoid coming back for the inspection.

I need some advice based on experience of the owners about which fuel to use in the vehicle. Do I use regular or high-octane?

Hyundai dealership says use regular...Opinions, experience, comments???

I am using Santa Fe Signature HEV since March 2025. No issues in using the Regular petrol. However, in our country overall petrol quality is dangerously bad. You cannot stand close to the nozzle when filling. The smell is of a chemical. That is why our cars have engine issues very early than overseas.
Hi Octane will give you a psychological comfort but will make your pocket uncomfortable.

Would it make sense to mix both regular and hi-octane to boost the octane levels of regular fuel? Like 70% regular and 30% hi-octane?

No need to use hi octane at all. Vehicle is designed for regular petrol hi octane will create unnecessary engine issues in the medium to long term.

Just get it filled from company operated PSO or SHELL pumps.

When travelling deep into northern areas, the fuel quality is expected to be poorer compared to big cities. Is using an octane booster the only solution in this case?

If octane booster will help or is recommended then which brand is preferred and where to buy it from in Lahore or Islamabad?

When a better octane fuel has ever caused unnecessary troubles in long run? You are adding a better quality petrol not Ethanol that will effect the engine coded parameters.

Mixing hioctane with normal petrol won't give you a significant better octane number.

Based on your experience/knowledge, could you give me an idea what type of boost in Octane points are we looking at if hi-octane is mixed with regular petrol? An estimated specific fuel mix percentage and achieved boost number would be good to know.

It may cause issues if you use it in engines or automobiles not designed for hi octane.

If you’re from the side that says there’s no damage, there’s absolutely no advantage either it just drains wallets much faster.

@ali.raza.tr Why are you looking for octane boosters?

Your vehicle does not need hi octane fuel..unless your manufacturer calls for it in the owners manual.
who knows what octane boosters are made up of that you end up using, if it uses MMT / manganese you’re gonna be just creating unnecessary issues.

These cars are not so naazuk , will run absolutely fine even if you somehow come across a bit of not so high quality fuel pump in the northern areas .

Thousands of vehicles go there and come back weekly without issues. All gonna be ok.
Normal fuel is now mostly excellent in Pakistan Euro 5 compliant too.

normal fuel has god RON. there shouldnt be any obsession with Hi Octane. Its more of a myth to be honest.

Have been using High - Octane since I've gotten delivery in March - though for me it's 1 full tank a month so I'm indifferent. Getting an avg of 13- 13.5 km/l on it, light food, khi traffic, hoping for a little more with better driving habits, and oil change etc.

Has anyone figured out how to remote start the car? Been playing and haven't figured out.. Is it lock and engine start button as the internet says, or unlock, lock, 3 times and remote start button?

Thanks for your detailed guide. The dealership got it registered for me and was given a 1bill payment option, where I paid slightly above your cost ( 347,800 pkr) and had it registered. Received all the documents and smart card within a month, though waiting on the Ajraak number plate. Have you received yours as yet, assuming you're in khi? Was told will receive a test msg on my number when plates are ready but nothing so far.

For remote start in Sonata, you need to press the lock button and within 3 seconds press and hold the remote start button until the vehicle starts
