well, I dont think so at this time although technically its possible . if Hybrid cost as rumored to be around 14 Million, a Gasoline version will cost much higher and then at that point it will not be an attractive option. Keep in mind there is 4% duty on hybrid components instead of 30% for the regular gasoline parts. yes they can introducing gasoline only option and reduce the features in it to keep it lower in price than the Hybrid version. To me Hybrid will be a flagship Santa FE variant for Nishat.

i was just thinking about the tax structure but then the haval H6 pricing came to my mind. if the hybrid duties are low then how come Haval is still putting it more expensive then Gasoline?? looks like hybrid kit with batteries is expensive enought that even duty structure is not cutting its cost down.

Hybrid will always be more expensive than gasoline. That's how it is everywhere. The batteries, the generator and motor etc add up to a lot.

The upcoming Hyundai Santa Fe is just weeks away from official launch. Hyundai Pakistan has started a teaser campaign and the new teaser just confirmed that;

PKDM model will be getting a 8" touch screen infotainment screen which comes as standard unit. This system is available with 6 speakers. An auto dimming rear view mirror also seems to be a reality.

A PK model will NOT get a 10.25" infotainment screen which also virtually confirms that a 10 speaker HARMAN KARDON premium sound system will not be an option on our local model. The premium sound system in overseas model is available with 10.25" unit.

Let's hope Nishat Pakistan don't chop other features from thr upcoming domestic model. Unfortunately that's always the case with most of local assembled vehicles. I also hope saefty features and equipment are not on the list of cost cutting items.

Have you seen the Santa Fe that's coming to Pakistan? It looks like a car straight from the 90s. Not to mention the H6 HEV is significantly more powerful.

Some how seeing Fanta Sea vs Corolla Cross hybrid and Haval h6,

H6 Seems to be an unopposed winner and a much modern vehicle.

But Fanta Sea is 7 seater I guess.

I will share unofficial list of features in next couple of days. I have the outline but cant share now..so stay Tuned. What I can tell it will be well equipped and with high sticker price. Remember Mansha Ki Mansha.

AWD & FWD

Haval don't offer AWD on HEV.. although AWD on all these vehicles is just for extra traction and these are not for typical off road performernce and neither they are designed for such endeavors.

Pricing of 15 million is just a guess. Some rumors suggest even 16. Target customers will be government, Air force, Navy, Army, Diffrent ministries, judges , beaurocrates, DMG group and the list is long.. a regular customer to shell out all in cash because bank leasing is no more an attractive option.. So, tax payers money will buy most of Santa FE and attraction will be its hybrid and it will save fuel.. .

Dealers will be at factory on Tuesday 26th September to witness the vehcile before an official public launch on the upcoming Sunday.
