This is exactly why they can't beat the Big 3. You have to let go of the profits and go for aggressive pricing if you want to win over customers in a country where there have been 3 main car companies for decades. Ripping off customers doesn't help, nor does pricing your product too close to other well established brands (i.e. Elantra up against Grande and Civic X). Everyone was recommending Elantra when it was 2-3 lacs below Grande, Hyundai hiked the prices immediately. Suicide.

PKR 35,000 for Engine Oil, Oil filter, AC filter change is a ripoff though, no matter how you look at it.

Btw same things costed me 11600 from Honda dealership last week. Aisy products sirf depression hain for end user.

U did great by not.buying Elantra. Its too hard to sell. One of the mods here is trying to sell silver Elantra for long time. We sold a sonata after 2 months of pain and agony

Hahaha they're probably making up for their lack of sales with these exorbitant prices on parts. When a buyer is in the market to purchase a car, tab they can't force you to buy their car but aik dafa le li tab har 3 months innki mauj. Otherwise warranty void, and no one wants to take that risk with a car which hasn't passed the test of time (in Pak). Ye sahi tactic hai

When did I vote for sonata?....Well I wouldn't defend a civic either which is a 180° different from what is offered in other countries in terms of features and quality.

Not all all bhai. Other than airbags, all is as per standards.. nothing different. Airbags to sab companies ka issue yahan. Different countries have different features..and we cannot add all in any country.

Pakistani variant is very well loaded and ofcourse the major point is the unmatched engine...in termd economy/power/reliability balance. Even pkdm whp is as per other markets..so very solid launch but prices are now insane.
Problem is no country as all features...but we are in bughz e big3 lol

Same engine hai .. torque was adjusted due to bad fuel in some parts of Pakistan. I can share dyno results proving the whp is on par with malaysian models. 15% is minimum loss on whp...well on target

Everything was according to figures printed in spec sheet. Other than big cities, not every pump has good quality fuel here till today. Since most of us are from big cities where fuel is fine, tunes are done easily and stock map is still kept for travelling to doubtful areas.

Have you worked in any automotive company? Because I have. Claims are post-facto approved not pre-facto. Anyways, trying to make you understand anything that undermines your favourite brand is like preaching to the choir.

What is policy and what is not, I know myself and mods can take down any undue posts themselves. Don't try to be what you are not: My boss.

People didn't get their Toyota and Honda maintained from dealership because road-side mechanics were available. But their warranty got void similar to Kia / Peugeot. However, people didn't realize it because their cars were old and did not have much features to begin with, so any mechanic could get away with "fixing" the car shoddily.

Now, enter fully quipped vehicles with complex AWD systems, power seats, ECUs connected with infotainment systems and other features that were never seen by local mechanic; so people started to realise warranty is important and when they went to dealerships, the bills started to look high because simple oil change IS NOT Equal to periodic inspection.

But ye bat lakeer kay fakeeron ko kiun samajh aani. Unhay to bus logo chahiye apnay favorite brand ka kiunkay unkay dost bhi yehi letay hain, ya phir own pe bechnay kay liye letay hain. A sad state of affairs.

I doubt if industry experience helped u. U said dealership claims warranty..that was total lack of knowledge. Dealership is just to provide u a cup of tea, nothing else. All claims are approved by factory.
