Its the Hybrid (e:HEV, NOT PHEV) that is being launched, potentially as early as next week at a rumoured price of 9.4 million with Honda Sense package similar to the Civic RS. Not sure if it will include parking sensors or blind spot monitor as the civic doesn't have either.
Honda's (atlas Honda) website has a lot of detail on the e:HEV tech.
Also the 2008, will likely continue with the same wet timing belt engine which is its main Achille's heel. That coupled with the fact that Stellantis/ Peugeot doesnt have stellar reliability, need for specialized oil for the wet timing belt which makes oil changes very expensive, the 2008 unless in the PHEV form (which does have a chain instead of the belt), is not the most ideal option.
