well, i have RS. BTW, the 2000cc NA engines consume way too much fuel and drive poorly due to stupid transmissions being offered here. NA engines are fun to drive provided the transmission is DCT or CVT.

It's the torque game, the peak figures are reached too late in the NA engines we have, other than toyota 2ZR, which has better low torque handling. It's simple fel when u drive evena a 127. Another beauty of L15B is the easiest tuning and mods, making it a true beast.. these are all proven facts btw

Elantra gets pretty decent fuel economy though. 2.0s only give poor fuel economy in the heavy and aerodynamically inefficient crossovers, even in those the fwd are not that bad and only the AWD ones get really poor fuel economy. The turbos really don't give much of a fuel economy benefit over the 1.8 and 2.0 na engines. The real advantage of the base and oriel civic is just in the low end torque, which most people won't understand without actually driving those cars.

Modding doesn't matter for most people and it's risky too, especially with the super fragile cvt. Anyone looking to mod should just save some money and go for an old x rs used. The ll-cvt in the rs is also a lot more suitable for modding than the m-cvt which is fragile enough to have loads of failure cases with simple unmodded 1.8 r18 civics.

Agreed on the modding but mild tune ups are normally very safe..honda cvts are pretty much the nost reliable cvts...though ..per time testing.

Even sonata 2.0 had great fuel economy but transmission ia so laggy that driving pleasure feels totally lost. Elantra drives much better. Tuscon/sportage as gas guzlers, lets see how baby hrv fares vs other csuvs

Shouldn't the transmission in both sonata and Elantra feel the same as it's the same transmission and engine? In my experience Elantra definitely seemed to accelerate faster than its competition but the gear changes felt pretty slow.

Hrv will probably get better fuel economy than other crossovers but it still won't be enough to save it with its rumoured price and features.

Shift by wire is in sonata. In real world Elantra drives way way better than Sonata. Sonata even.cannot hold gears by usung shifters correctly, a major issue while driving on northern side. Most regions have 8 speed dct and we have got 6 speed 1990 tranny

Some chhe exec for sure. Same reason they couldn’t add a cheap brake hold button to the 4 million Wali city. Does my head in every time I’m stuck between stop and go traffic and I’ve the phantom impulse to press the brake hold button.

Definitely, once you've gotten used to brake hold there's no going back.

I saw more leaks of HRV on PakWheels fb page, it seems more loaded than I expected it to be. Would have been a really nice package if it had cruise control too as that is one of the things I am very used to due to long highway distances I cover on a daily basis. Bummer.

WTH no cruise control? What were they thinking, even City aspire has cruise control. They've made city and civic more value to money with this rip off. How is it worth 60 lac plus

Is aftermarket cruise control installation possible on HRV? It's rather straightforward in case of Yaris
