Ivtec just make it up for the economy. It's a fine engine for daily driving.... While 2008 drives well, the risk one if taking for 6.2M is way too high.

Both dohc ones come in international 7th gen city depending on the country. Lower fuel quality countries get the 119hp one which has port injection and lowered compression ratio. The 130hp one has direct injection and higher compression ratio. New city in India gets the 119hp one as well. Just checked and yeah, the 119hp one doesn't get the earth dreams moniker.

There is a 130hp one on that same Wikipedia page called l15b which is used in certain market cities and hrvs. It has a higher 11.5:1 compression ratio and direct injection. Countries with better quality fuel get l15b and other countries with worse quality fuel like ours get l15ze or l15zf with 118/119hp. Both are new 1.5 engines from honda.

There is another one of the engine with earth dreams.
This isn’t one and Wikipedia isn’t always right.

The 7th gen City wikipedia page says the one in Philippines does have the earthdreams moniker. And yes, it's the 120hp LZ15F version.

Earth dreams moniker indicates that the engine has direct injection which this one doesn't. Also I checked India's honda city site and it calls the diesel engine and the CVT transmission as earth dreams but not the 1.5 petrol engine. I think Wikipedia is wrong in this. And you can see in pics that l15b gets the earth dreams plaque on it but the l15ze and zf don't.

Edit: Some pics of the new city engine have the earth dreams plaque but then other engines don't have it. I think the cars equipped with CVT get the plaque and the manual ones don't.

Just checked again and apparently 7th gen city doesn't come with the earth dreams l15b in any market. Hrv does come with l15b. L15b seems to mostly be intended for the Japanese market.

Edit: only Brazilian city gets that engine and is flex fuel.

When people don't respect their own hard owned money, why should the big 3 do it. Alto's price increased around 10 12 in the last years and with the increase in price it set new records of sales every month.
this tells you the mentality of a average pakistani.
we as a nation should learn to not accept everything thrown at is. Try to reject something for once and see what happens.

Proven by whom? Corolla 1.8 Grande gives better mieage the current gen or old gen Civic. Elantra 2,000 cc gives better mileage than Civic Oriel and Turbo. Check Pakwheels review please.

What should they go for? United Bravo or Prince Pearl? Let me know when and if you buy these over an Alto. Check reviews of Alto’s competitors, or visit them in person. You’ll understand why big 3 are big 3.

Also, it’s hard earned money that’s why resale matters. Personally wouldn’t want to gamble 6+ million on a new vehicle which isn’t even selling that well, depends on an individual’s risk appetite.

Don't be so gulible to accept a poorly spec'd car just for the purpose of resale. Khud gari chalanay ka maza na aye lekin resale honiy chahiye.

Would appreciate if you mind your language. If it’s that poorly spec’d and inferior, no one should be buying it and it should have no resale. Most of us have Cars to test and prove. Pakwheels reviews are nothing special either. Grande gave better mileage vs Oriel 1.8 .. I agree I kept grande for a good 3.5 yrs.

Against turbo, no match. The main thing is it's so hard to drive turbo without enjoying it and that's where u get mileage hit. When I drive normally in heavy traffic and with family mileage is over 12 tan to tank but when I find an empty road and drive alone, mileage drops to even 10 for me....Again tank to tank ...meter mileage is not accurate. Turbo has the best balance in terms of economy and drive.

Munj sb alone cannot explain anything...and best experience comes from individual experiences as all cars are driven by different people and average can be idenitified.

No trc
Pathetic lights
No auto dimming
Bad mileage as well

Only edge is cruise
