I agree with the quality bit, I own one too and its definitely inferior in quality compared to Toyota (which I had before this). But still, I think it's worth it due to how it drives and I love how it looks. Steering rack issue is a global issue, it's not an Atlas blunder. Every company has such issues. KIA recalled thousands of Sportages globally due to the risk of engine fire, that can be pretty dangerous too. They advised people to park their cars outside and not inside their homes to avoid a bigger loss incase the car catches fire.
Now I'm not saying Sportage is a bad car, it's my favourite crossover currently out of those available in Pak. But I'm just making a point that manufacturing faults occur, and it's no big deal if company is entertaining and fixing the faults free of cost. My Civic's steering rack got replaced as well when it was 18k driven back in 2019. This forum is free and fair, just go to Civic X forums, you'll see tonnes of helpful advice and solutions to tonnes of issues faced by Civic owners.
HR-V hasn't even launched yet properly, so people are rightfully mentioning the after sales etc of Honda and Peugeot. I don't think anyone is getting misguided here. It's a fact that Hondas sell better in Pakistan as compared to Peugeots. It's also a fact that Peugeot 2008 hasn't sold well in Pak even when it had no direct competitor, and now it has HR-V.
