Platz vs swift

With respect to all the posters, if anyone has driven a Platz on Petrol, it has a much better mileage as long as it is on Petrol (even AUTO), I have metered 15KM/L in an AUTO Platz on highway to Kirli Lake, never drove the new Swift but i very much doubt that it can better that.

On merits Platz is many times better then Swift, if you can afford the maintainance.

Swift is much better.Swift is having rear seat belt.swift is a new car while is very old and having bad shape.Whereas quality is concerned it is much better than all suzuki car with most of the parts imported...

well....platz also has rear seat belts boy, and it comes with 2 air bags and an outstanding ABS (unlike the ABS being offered in new Gli)....and abt the built quality, well....platz has way better built quality than the new swift boss....u just have to find the rite car driven by some sane person

moreover, as i have already posted in few of ma previous topics, my platz (when used to be on petrol) gave me an average of 19 km/l on long routes (with 50%AC) and 17.5 km/l on long routes with 100%AC on...yes mine is a manual transmission one, but i m sure the auto trannys give almost the same average. inside city, it gives me 15 km/l.....and yes its wrong to compare a 1.0 platz with a 1.3 swift.....the 1.3 platz with 2NZFE is an outstanding car, way way way better than the swift, whether it comes to built quality, safety features, or anything else

if all things are equal, then you should be comparing a 1.3L base model manual vitz with a 1.3L top pf the line local suzuki swift.

comparing 2 cars which are not even in the same catagory is silly. it's like asking, what vehicle gives better milage, a vigo or a cruiser?

Im amazed! Storm gave such a valid point but ppl are too busy commenting and comparing two cars that are not even of the same category!! :o

Ive got a manual platz 2002 model....have not driven the swift but know that the average is superb...Especially on highways.....
On a 55l tank, i did 180km on CNG and the last green light was still on ...

bt da plus point is swift ez 1300cc nd platz 1000cc
swift ez giving 15kmpl being a 1.3L nd platz being 1.0 L
i wonder wt wud b da milage of 1.3 L platz
I guess if 1.0 L platz duing 15 kmpl den 1.3 L will give yu nearly 12 kmpl

whats mean by unlike gli.gli has now the one of the best abs offereed in local cars.It works and works outstandingly.no skkidding and steer while braking.

overall swift all the way but only one thing platz has more is airbags.Wrna platz ki mouse shape se bohat achi ha swift ki shape.
@poster i think paksuzuki is ur personal enemy .u always starts and spoils the threads of suzuki.
Mileage wise swift is better than underpowered platz.Too big body and mousy engine

Swift all the way. Both cars have almost the same mileage but Platz looks ugly.

poor ugly shape of platz and its meter which is located in middle instead of front of driver so its more prone to accidents

Sir I am yet to understand the purpose of diging this thread after 6 months.

Platz any day for me, their is no comparision if anyone has driven both the cars.

We should consider the new Vitz XP90 watermelon instead of the decade old Platz with Swift.

A vitz with the 2NZ/SZ FE or the best from Toyota 1NR FE or 1 ND TV.
