the Check light (the one beside the OD) can or can not be a serious issue. You have to go to a proper mechanic to get it checked electronically, as said by earlier members, which will give out the exact error number referring to what is wrong in the car, and get that solved.

khayyam It doesn't have to be serious, please take it to a person who has an OBD Scanner and can tell you what the exact problem is.

Did you by any chance have the catalytic converter removed from your car?

to the POSTER:

Drive your with OD ON. that means you shouldn't get the OD OFF Light on your dash.

Regarding the check engine light, goto a mechanic who can diagnose it. Or goto toyota stealership, ask them to 'tune' your car and that you want the code and cause of the check engine light before tuning.

i have vitz 2003 . 1300 cc . there is no OD there is S/D on gear shifter .
plz advise how to use it and on which speed limit its work as when press it on dash board signal of S/D is on but no feels come in car that there is any change in race or not .
plz advise me what to do and how to use it.
