I am recovering now and leucocyte count is coming down. I am on a heavy course of oral antibiotics as i have just been discharged from hospital. But i have to take liquid diet as my intestine got perforated(ulcers) from one point.
A 2 week bed rest with follow up visits to the doc.
My family already gave goat sadka and sadka in the form of money to needy ppl.

dear thats the standard drug regime that you got in hospital.

Yes the typhiod can have raised WBC count and yes it can cause ulcers and even full perforation when complicated.never the less,since you have been shifted to oral from IV drugs,means that you are improving.Foregt about HB,it will be ok in few days,and WBC will improve as well...Take things easy,be regular in medicines,and take soft diet.avioid chillie foods,and cold drinks like pesi etc.Take milk,and fluids in from of fresh juices.Nothing to worry.Do go for follow up once you get better.

BTW BD means Twice a day, TDS means Thrice a day and Od is for once a day.Have nice time recovering,Tc

that was a misdiagnosis. I m again admited in hospital with liver absces diagnosed.
Not feeling gud right now. They will soon aspirate it.

.hash bhai, plz pray as the abscess is near the diaphram, they are hesitant to aspirate it due to no proper route.

Its been aspirated about 190ml, about 30ml left which wasnt approachable, they will try to treat it with iv antibiotics.
Im still in hospital but feeling better.
The sample has been sent for biopsy.

I really thank u for remembering me and ure concern.
I was discharged from the hospital this monday with a follow up visit on coming saturday but the abscess has started to heal.

Seen the worst time of my life, but good and bad times come and i thank Allah that he saved me from any complications.

Further healing will take time most probably on its own but i m feeling better.

Though a member Bluespark had already mentioned that ur fever less likely seemed to be typhoid but I am quite surprised coz USG-Abdomen nowadays is included among the basic investigations and if it was carried out then how did the Radiologist miss a liver abscess.
If USG wasn't carried out still it could have been diagnosed on X-Ray chest with raised Right dome of Diaphragm (as u urself mentioned it to be near to diaphragm).
Its not that Doctor may not misdiagnose as he/she is also a human being and liable to commit mistakes but a Professor misdiagnosing a Liver abscess for Typhoid and that too with Leucopenia, that ain't fair.

He is a professor of ke and he did not do any xray or ultrasound. Was just treating me symptomaticly on an igm positive report for typhoid which i guess was a wrong diagnoses. After about a week of treatment, it got more worse so i got admitted in ittefaq hospital where chest xray was done which wasnt normal and ultrasound revealed that i m having liver abscess.

I still doubt if that guy is a real professor but he is teaching in ke and visiting physician mio hospital. Frcp uk in medicine and fcps pk and bla bla bla

I think for future purpose u should consult

1st and then consult any other doctor as he pointed out in the beginning that ur diagnosis wasn't correct..

Anyways..
Now as the abscess has been aspirated hopefully InshaAllah u'll get well after taking the antibiotics..
Ur Doc may be a Professor but that doesn't mean that he should start relying totally on his experience.. Initially the patient may be treated symptomatically but the final diagnosis is always made after getting carried out all the baselines and other investigations.. Many diseases have common symptoms and in order to get a definite diagnosis out of the differential diagnosis the investigations are carried out.. Blood tests along with Ultra Sonography and X-Rays are amongst the basic investigations for diagnosing a disease nowadays.. He should have made sure that you have had all ur baseline invetigations carried out..

Anyways now that u have been diagnosed and being treated along the right path InshaAllah u'll get well soon..
