Mate it all depends on your pocket $$$.
Euro cars are all class but jap cars are mostly practicality.
An average Euro hatch back will start from MID AU$ 30,000 , where as an average Jap hatch will cost you under AU$20,000.
As far fast cars are concerned under Au$80,000 you cant compete with JAp cars again , GTR (Godzilla), STi, EVO's, GTO, etc.
Now when you go above AU$ 100,000 then the Euro performance cars comes in, which
1) are not under everyones reach.
2) are much more superior than jap cars.
3) but then you pay top $$$ for them.
For super cars offcourse Europe got dominance over the whole world and there is no doubt in it.
so in the end if you can affoard to have an M3 @ over Au$ 150,000 + , why not
other wise a AU$25,000 Skyline GTS-T will do everything for you
