she is very agresive,,,

she killed lot ov mice ,, 2 cats ,, my chachu's many chicks,,

and Sam bychara he is cool nd calm,, always watching her wat is she doing ,,jumping here and there..even k Sam ka khana bhi kha jati hy ...

@Naweed: Timneh is a good choice for an african grey as they are a bit smaller in size to a congo, but they have got big personalities. If yours is aggressive, try to put him/her out of the cage as much as possible and put him/her in the middle of your lounge or a place where there is a reasonable traffic in your home.

You are doing good as far as feed is concerned, but try to find out his/her favorite. Most of them like sunflower and peanuts. Not the monkey nuts i.e. un-peeled peanuts as some shells contain a dusty element which is harmful to their lungs. Once you find his/her favorite, try not to give it in the feed and only give it as a treat by hand. This way it will let you come closer.

African greys can live upto 35 years in captivity so please note that patience is the name of the game. It's all about trust, once your parrot starts trusting you and vice versa, there is a whole new meaning to own an african grey.

And don't worry about his/her talking. They usually start whistling at the age of 5-6 months and talking starts soon after. Go to theafricangreyparrot.com/forum and you will find a lot of threads dealing with all kinds of issues and problems related to greys.

^^^^ nice parrots. except why are they in cage? For some reason the common Indian Ring Neck are the best of them all. Their size is adequate and they are really friendly.
