Though the town itself is beautiful, the real attraction is hiking in its mountains, two of which are connected to the city by light-rail (Floyen) and cable-car (Ulriken).

Bergen is called ?Gateway to the Fjords" - the stunning landscape created by a succession of ice ages and consisting of tall mountains, cascading waterfalls and of glaciers that never melt.

The day started with a 3.5 hour long ferry ride from Bergen to Rosendal and the group was visibly excited.
