Salu bhai there is a huge difference between hj/hzj/bj/fzj and lj/kzj frames. Leafspring ones can take all the heavy engines while the later swbs are considered light duty 4wds.

Hameed brother it's not difficult to wire the KD series at all . Here one can get a complete harness loom as well . Most of the 1KD having turbo timers as well and delivering very good average as well .

Best option is to put a 1KD-FTV
or the minimum you can go with a 5L or 1KZ..
these are the easiest swaps if you want to stay diesel.

To me it's a bit underpowered and engine head crashes due to heatup.
my recommendation's are for 1KD-FTV the fuel economy with auto transmission is above 12 on highway's and 8-10 in local's. 5VZ is a little heavier on fuel like 1KZ 5-6 in local and 8-9 max on highway's so go for the 1KD-FTV newer gen engine's easily available and yet easy to wire up and it will be pleasure and fun to drive.

yes and it is also a lazy engine the turbo spool's is low in low rev range's and the boost start's from 2000 rpm and on 1KD-FTV the boost start's from 800 rpm

hi.. I own a lj78 lwb 92 with 2lte engine.. recently went up to naran from karachi.. and I experienced the underpowerness of ths engine while going uphill.. though it made all the climbs but like a Bedford truck while moving uphill.
So What was your final action. I have a 2LTE and i am desperately looking for a swap which involves minimum alteration to my 92 LWB LJ78 which is in mint condition.
after the trip , i went for the service and setting of the deisel pump,.,. power came back..
