Respected member lives in some remote area and has been maintaining his Prado (sold now) by using desi parts, mostly. Being desi these parts are inexpensive. The best thing was to see the CV joint made by a company that uses a Suzuki logo. While in big cities we are usually scratching our heads to decide between genuine and kabli parts, this member is my real hero.
Well, now I feel being cheated by all those who have been discouraging us to avoid old 4x4 vehicles on the pretext of parts availability, high prices and workshop expenses.
While brother @tintin1 gets all the bashing for using incorrect procedures and not listening to any useful advice, I am anxiously waiting for the fellow member to get his hands on an 80 series Cruiser ASAP so that I could see him maintaining it just like this Prado again.
