I have Prado tx 2.7 2003 model in karachi and I am really sick of his bad fuel average . It’s hardly touch 300kms in 87 litre of tank. I’ve change my mechanic this time and he did a good job so far as I am feeling a really good difference in driving Prado . But he mark that there must be a catalytic converter in Prado and it’s missing in your vehicle and it cause the bad fuel average . My question is how important is catalytic converter in Prado or any vehicle and how much it can effect fuel average

ASA.. I am looking to buy Prado 2012 plus Model, during my research here in pakweels i learned that 2.7 is underpower, I am seeing many adds of 3.0D engine, is it 3000CC Diesel engine? is it better choice then 2700 petrol ? can someone shed the light please as i am totally newbie in this field.
