Airbags across all variants came in face-lift. I myself own a 2016 Gli with immobilizer, keyless entry but no airbags.
2016 May or aprilOne airbag was upgraded to two in Toyota grande only. N other features were also given in grande jackknife key. Digital climate control. Immobilizer.LFT 4 inch speedo meter screen. Retractable mirrors. Mud flap. Double sided multimedia steering control. One or more other things. So it was pre FL medium upgrade. In remaining corolla cars immobilizer came afterwards n then airbags in FL Corolla.
Steering controls can be added aftermarket. I installed them in GLi
Does the steering column has the wires readily available inside?

A round movable part is inserted in handle to protect wires not to be rugged n destroyed when handle is turned more than 360 degree . Alteration is there in wiring .n if it is FL then not gud idea to take a chance to interrupt parallel supply of airbag.

Only for Civic reborn 8the gen people needed to purchase a coil spring and then add steering control. Corolla has this since 2008
