I was actually asking about 100-110kph on mway.this is pretty high rpm for 800cc.

Is your engine running on "ustaad maarka" thanda engine?

Meaning no thermostat and fan direct along with no coolant in engine.

Did ustaad leave tappets loose?

None of these were followed obviously..... Will keep in mind all of these for future.

No, it has a thermostat working fine, fan is auto. Coolant in radiator from the day it was delivered by suzuki.
I am not sure about tappet loose, but he said to me come after break-in, i will adjust tappets and retune it.

Its probably screwy.

Drive normal, get it in perfect tune and drive on, the most important key factor for long life is to make sure engine is only run when fully warmed up.

Meaning engine temperature should remain above 80c and below 104c.

Good engine tune and temperature returns best engine life.

And please use the correct engine oil as the owner manual tells you.

I left khi long time ago, all the people I knew who did such work also left, for Lahore I know the member @syncview is running a shop and he only runs by the book and engineering principles.

due to unavoidable circumstances & some office colleagues "mashwaras", i opted for him instead of Dmotorsports isb. Will surely comply to ur suggestion in future in sha Allah.

I think before going up for any sort of work, we should first know the procedure. pakwheels, and some utube videos help alot in this regard. seriously, i am regretting why i didn't follow this protocol.

how did "week" is announced by ustad ji? did he performed compression test and check for oil consumption or pcv valve tested? ? sir what is use of this pakwheels if ustaads can play by dusting our eyes with red pepper

When an engine is correctly rebuilt or reringed, (rings only dosed with light oil not slathered in greasy oil), correctly clocked (open ends never on thrust or piston pin areas)

The engine is started and allowed to full warm up while mech checks for leaks and tests oil pressure, and keep revs at 1000 or 1500 for a small engine. The engine should operate in perfect tune, not loose tappets or direct fan or other lunacy.

Once its warm, the mechanic then should drive the car in gradual load steps of.

Accelerating gently to mid range torque in 2nd gear and letting it overrun down back to idle abt 3 or 4 times.

Accelerating briskly on open road in 2nd gear to 60% safe engine speed and letting it overrun back to creep about 5 times,

Accelerating in burst from roll of 2nd gear to abt 80% engine rpm and letting it overrun back to creep.

This act seats the rings nicely against the bore as the cross hatch from cyls gets pushed down and ring surface loses its rough edge.

Oil helper rings prevent oil drainaway and can flood the 2nd compression ring causing the cylinder walls to "polish" meaning burnt caramalized oil gets deposited on the cyl and also the ring stack which is terrible.

Once the initial steps are complete just drive normally.

@Xulfiqar bhai I would need an expert in Karachi to overhaul my Margalla's engine. I have this car since 2016 and optimum fuel consumption is something that I have been longing to experience. The last mechanic i went to for an engine tune up (through reference) screwed up my beloved car real bad. he blamed the engine blow by to be a cause of bad fuel economy and insisted on ring / valve replacement. It costed me dear money and the engine is worse than before. 4/8 engine rockers are fitted very carelessly that they have slipped and the engine sounds like a tabla. there is even more blow by now and the carburettor loses its setting every month.

I desperately need a good mechanic to overhaul my car's engine to factory specifications. Please advise.
