Price Check: Mitsubishi Lancer 2004

My 1.3 was an auto, very heavy on fuel. Otherwise not much of an issue, then again I never took it to a hilly area so I can't give a proper review

Was it a CNGed one or pure petrol driven? What was the fuel average?

You can confirm that by auction sheet and value on GD or house bill of lading.

They don't have a valid auction sheet, seller does not provide them.

All kind of issues on CNG the ones till 2006 have CVT in 1.6L so if it has CNG high chances are that car has already a junkyard transmission.

1.3L came with conventional 4 speed auto which can work on CNG but injector will fail on 40,000 km or around and then you are on junkyard injectors for 1200 per pop since the original ones are 8,400/piece.

One other gift of CNG would be that air intake or box would blow or leak after every 3-6 months causing misfire not to mention you have to block the air on throttle body.

Shift quality of CVT is worse, the 4 speed auto is much better and on par with same model Altis but inferior to Civic.

In 2007 facelift Deewan dropped the 1.6L variant altogether.

The JDM versions are with 1.5L 4G15 CVT engines with much better torque.

The Thai versions does not have any airbag, ABS or navigation etc at all.

So a Lancer with auto transmission is only good if its in petrol.

These problems are the reason I say NO to CNGed Lancers. And the ad I have shared, it is purely petrol driven according to the description. Rest will be known once the car is inspected.

U asked for price check , worthy members gave their valuable inputs as per their experience , now its ur decision instead of feeling offended by value they r quoting for this marvellous car , btw steering of lancer costed 2500 last year but it was khi regd , 7.75 k for lahore regd steering is astonishing

I didn't feel offended neither I intended to offend someone. I have come across several Lancers below 8 lakh but they are a totally different story.

If u like the car buy it. These days its quite difficult to even find a genuine car. I dnt knw much about the 1.3 auto version but hav heard from friends that it feels underpowered while climbing hills if thre r 4-5 ppl in the car. I might be wrong but sharing something wat i heard may be someone can put some light on it. N yeah happy buying

Yes I agree finding a clean car is a difficult thing these days. And as for the underpowered part, our 1.3 manual one goes in the northern areas quite often with 5 people and luggage. Fares well. But IMO a 1.3 is not meant for hilly areas, it is an abuse to the car.

It is lighter and has more horses in the engine. But that's about it. In comfort it doesn't even come close to Lancer. When the City was launched new back in 2009 a friend bought it and some days later he drove my Lancer. His EXACT words were "City nai gari hai achi hai bhagti hai lekin Lancer Lancer hai!"

Sir the car in the ad seems in great condition but its too an jdm, I know the airbags deploying part and that the major accidented issue but if an trusted expert denter fails to identify the accident on the car then this will not affect resale in the future too Id say go for it, the built quality and insulation of jdm lancer is unbeatable by pkdm lancer! Best of Luck sir.

City is powerfull but aint comfy thats why chose XLi over it lol and i hope its not undrpowrd some friend told me about the auto being slow on hill climb coz v wre thinking of purchasing one ourselves but at the end remained with the civic

Lancer is an amazing machine in its class and enjoying the ride from last one year . Thats car seems in good nic and in my opinion its price should be 850 ~ 900k max. Auto CVT isn't too bad but when you get used too with it its shows the hidden power when you floor it.
Recently i took it Shogran & Naran and it went like a breeze.

That is indeed a mouthwatering Lancer, The Car looks to be in great nick, the price is not just high but way high if compared to KHI market, this car in such condition is not more than 8 lacs but since punjab has higher value the best buy would be between 900-950k,
I love lancers but sadly never got a chance to keep one

I've owned a Lancer since Jan 2006. Bought a 1.3 auto zero meter which I sold this May after it met a really bad accident. Before that, all it required was routine maintenance (oil, air filter, brake pads etc.). Soon as I sold it I bought a 1.6 manual which is my everyday car nowadays. Again it hasn't given any problems so far. During all this period, my other cars have been City EXiS and Civic 8th gen (still have it) and I can tell you that Lancer is just an amazing car and hasn't been a pain for me to maintain.

The car you are after looks good but price does seem high. If you like it then go for it.

The one in the ad is a 2004 model Dewan Import model. Also, the JDM ones that were imported used are meter reversed by almost 70-100k kms, and I have seen many they are not worth buying at all. Only the certified ones imported by Dewan Motors in 2013 were a good buy but their price tag was high and even that wasn't much of an issue but I got to know of that really late and missed those cars

This one is 4 speed automatic, and about the price once I'll call up the owner and ask his negotiation margin, some Lahori friends might check it as well over the weekend. Resale is the least bothering issue because we want the car to stay with us like the current Lancer we have is literally my first love and our family member.

Karachi market is very different from the rest of the country, cars depreciate a lot over there and that too over a very short period of time. Once you buy a mint condition Lancer trust my words you might not sell it even if you receive a huge profit on the cost to you.

That's bad too hear, the car which is with you since day 1 you develop a very special relationship with it over the years. To be very honest, the comfort level excluding the gadgets and electronics is roundabout the same of my Lancer and the Prius, the Prius being almost 3 times the price of the Lancer.
I am willing to pay higher than market price on the condition that the car is a genuinely clean vehicle.

I didn't get time today, will call the seller tomorrow and my friends will check it over the weekend, if they give a thumbs up I'll give him the token right away and buy the car within the week In Shaa Allah. Just my Civic gets sold I won't waste any time in buying this car.
