Price of Steel Mate 888G and 898G?

Is there anyone who has bought the following Steel Mate car alarms? I need to know how much they cost.

Steel Mate 888G

This model has similar features to 898G but does not include remote engine start or temperature monitoring. This is also different from the one that was posted on Pakwheels a few months ago. It has rechargeable remotes instead of battery operated ones and comes with a car charger for charging the remotes.

I got a price quote of Rs.7000+ 300 (installation) for the 888G. Has anyone got a better quote?

The 888G is available but I haven't inquired about the 898G. I will go to the market today see if it is available. Personally I am more interested in the 898G

Their`s A Guy Who Offered Me This 888A For 4000 But it was slightly used. He Said A is the Most Superior Series And Has got all the functions... But he said installation charges are some wherre around 1500

888A is the older model. I think it comes with a battery operated remote instead of a rechargeable one that is available with 888G. Asking price is 7000 for the 888G. I'm not really convinced about the price I think it is too high, may be the guy is trying to rip me off.

I got the system 888G installed in the car yesterday. It cost me Rs.6300+500 (installation). I have also heard that there are a lot of fakes in the market. But I got this from a known source recommended by a friend.

I wanted the 898G but it was not available in the market. I checked on the Internet and the price is roughly around Rs.7500-8500 (after converting from Russian and Malaysian currency). It should be available if you wait a while but the person whom I bought this system from could not confirm a time frame for availability. The remote is rechargeable and comes with a car charger.

hello there, I had a steel mate alarm for my car, its written on it 8886 not 888G...so does anyone know if its the same?
also the manual is written in chineese, so I can't get out all the functions and features of it, can any one help me....
and I can't figure out if I can start the engine using it, coz as i said all the writings are in chineese....

in the remote I can enter the setup by pressing on the 2 main buttons, but there are many timers in there...and a counter from 1 to 3.....

I bought 898 back in 2015 from Tariq Road Karachi. Remote worked pretty well for two years and was still working when i sold the vehicle.

It costed PKR 13000 at that time. Auto ignition and two way communication was a beautiful feature that I enjoyed a lot.

One time charging of Remote was sufficient to keep it working for a month on regular use while 20 days was lesser period that was observed.

Only disadvantage associated with this remote was the lag to Arm/Disarm the vehicle when it is on alarming. Merits of remote compensated this demerit.

If anyone knows a place to buy it from Islamabad please let me know.
